Better Late Than Never...

Post by velvet409 »

How did you pick your screen name?
I've been using this screen name for about 15 years. It's a combination of the name of my dog at the time and an all-purpose cleaner (not sure if people outside the US will have heard of Formula 409).

How did you come to read Twilight and which book is your favorite?
I was a Harry Potter fan first and kept seeing mention of the Twilight series in comparison to HP (and having read both series I don't see why because it's like comparing apples and oranges in my opinion). My mother got the books last year as a birthday present and I was looking for something new to read and decided to give them a try. I had them finished in about a week. I'd say Twilight is my favorite with Eclipse an extremely close second.

Who do you like best: Edward, Bella, or Jacob?
Definitely Edward. I think it's because he shares a lot of personality traits with me so I can relate to him better than Bella even though the books are in her POV. I like Jacob as a character although he really got on my nerves while reading Eclipse.

Who is your favorite minor character?
Probably Carlisle because of his philosophy regarding his life. He got dealt a difficult hand but he's going to do the best he can with it. I also like the father-son dynamic he shares with Edward. His conversation with Bella in New Moon while he's stitching her up is one of my favorites.

What are your hobbies?
Reading is pretty much my only hobby, although I will occasionally run a 5k race to challenge myself.

Where are you from (general area like Montana, not exact town!)
I have lived in Florida my entire life and never plan to call anywhere else home.

How old are you? (In general, like teen, 20's, 30's, 40's etc)
Late 20's

Anything else you would like to share.
Only that I am glad I found this website. I've found so much interesting information and have been able to read many intelligent, thought-provoking discussions regarding the Twilight universe.

Hello and welcome to the Twilight Lexicon!

I’m Openhome, and I’m one of the moderators around here.

We are so pleased you have chosen to join us! The Lex is a large site and can be very confusing at first. To help you navigate through the threads better, please be sure to check out the Welcome Forum and take a look at the threads there. You can begin at the Before You Start Posting thread. This topic contains a wealth of information on how to use our boards.

If you have any questions about posting here, there are three forums set up for you. Newborn in Seattle has a long list of helpful hints and FAQ’s. If you have technical difficulties, go to For the Accident Prone. The site’s rules and policies are found in the Don’t Irritate the Volturi thread. Please be sure to familiarize yourself with them!

If you have any other questions, you can contact any of the moderators by sending them a Private Message (PM). Moderators’ names appear in green. You can also go to the Communing with the Pack forum to ask questions or give us feedback.

See you around the boards!

Hey. Welcome to the lex!

I totally agree with the TW HP comparisons They are nothing alike. It really gets on my nerves when people do that.
I also agree with you on Jacob. He drove me crazy in EC.

If you would like come join us on the Team Carlisle thread.

See you around the boards.
