If there wasn't some demand for the stuff, it wouldn't exist.

Certainly demand drives supply. Each time someone views a papz pic or video on a papz site, it is counted. Each time it is purchased by or for and/or posted on a blog, there's a count. That count allows them to drive up the price the papz charge for the pics, as well as the price they charge advertizers to place their ads on that specific link. So, yes, in a way the fans share a piece of the blame. But, we are all responsible for our own behavior. A photographer has just as much right to stand up and say, "you know what, I'm going to act like a human today." They are in it for the money. I get that. But, at the same time, change starts with the smallest steps. It's up to each of us to treat everyone with the same respect we would wish accorded to ourselves if we were in the same situation. The most irritating attitude I have come across is the attitude that so many have in saying, "they are celebrities, it's a part of their job", or, "they are in "the business", they know what to expect." Its the worst type of excuse because it completely ignores the most basic respect we should have for people.

Hey I love this threat already...finally somewhere where we can discus this issue with graze...

Caryn & Chernaudi you two make good points of the papzz issue...
I agree with Chernaudi that Kstew seems to get the biggest part of the blow...and I feel it's mostly because she is an easy target...she's young, linked to the most wanted actor of this moment, somebody who speeks before thinking, she is hated by a lot of people but also a lot of people look up to her...
the fact that I feel the tabloid are making her look bad is mostly because she is with Rob and people are jealous...(sorry but I'm not even questioning the 'if' in the dating question any more)

Also the papz will get big money for the kissing shot (which they got a few weeks ago)...

but also they are hunting her more because they expect Kstew make a mistake more then they expect it of Rob or Taylor...Taylor has been very controlled and calm with the press and that's not giving them anything to gossip about, Rob is really the adult in this part, he does his job, tries to live like he want to and act like an adult, that doesn't give the tabloids much either...Kris on the other hand is know for lashing out and reacting to the papzz, I think they see her as unstable and ready to make that big booze, partying or drugs mistake....

I have to be honest, as much as I hate the papzz for what they doing to any of the twilight cast, I really like to see pictures of them happy...I really do feel sorry for any of the cast when they really get harassed...
and I wish we only got pics of them in an organized shoot or with fans when they ask nicely...

In holland the royals have a code and I think it would work van celebs as well...3 to 4 times a year the press gets a chance to make pics of them, sometimes it's a set up shoot sometimes it's for a special event, like the princesses first schoolday or a skiing vacation...anyone who take pictures of them outside these days or public appearance are being dregged before a judge and are being banned from future photo days...
I like this rule and I hope one day Hollywood would do the same...
These violent delights, have violent endings...Like fire and gunpowder, they consume what they kiss

I like that rule too. As much as I love to see pictures of them, I'm really not interested if they went to a restaurant or the gym or something like that. There are plenty of red carpet events and the pictures turn out better when they pose for them (no sunglasses, hoodies or angry faces ;) )

Marielle, Rob has lashed out and criticized the paps, too, and so has Taylor. Only because Kristen has been more vocal and has flipped the bird more often (and Rob's had his outburst, too) has she caught more crap, even though her cursing out and flipping off the paps is less than they deserved on their parts. Also, some of it is because Kristen is a woman. When the rape comment BS was just starting, Kristen had paps take photos down her top on the boat ride when she dropped her sunglasses, and one managed to shoot a shot up Kristen's skirt at the Eclipse promo event. Pretty well proves her point, doesn't it? After all, those shots were plastered on porno sites almost immediately afterwards. The were posted without her consent, and were taken without her consent. Isn't sexual harassment unconsentual sexual advances? Was when I checked.

People seem to think that because Kristen's a girl and young that she'll do a Britney Spears or a Lindsay Lohan and loose it. I think that Kristen's smarter than they think, and so are Rob and Taylor, who have regualry defended Kristen and criticized the people who torture her in their blogs and such. The reality is that guys in famous positions are more likey to screw themselves up. Look at the generation of people Cher came from. She's still around and singing, while many, mostly male, are washed up or dead because they got into drugs and crap. Thankfully, Kristen seems to be following Cher's example, and Cher has given the paps her fair share of retribution in the press as well. Odd, Kristen flips off the paps and gives them what the dish out and gets criticized, but Cher can do it and no one thinks twice about it.

I pretty much think that the media is sexist, and they know that Kristen won't show off her naughy bits for the guys. Even her mini-dresses are a lot more conseravtive than what some girls wear on the street nowadays--let alone in H'wood! When Kristen wears a short dress, the pics get plastered on Celeb porno/sex sites. I'm a guy, so you can accuse me of being biased, but why aren't men harassed like that? You'd think that Rob and Taylor are owed a few from the free-throw line with the way that Kristen gets treated. And as Rob and Taylor have said, it's unfair and Kristen should be cut some slack.

Maybe if we founded some private LLC company (or Besloten Vennootschap to you Marielle, as a BV company in Holland is the same as a private limited company in England or a private limited liability company or LLC in the US and Canada) that sold cars for paps and tabloid people, that'll fix 'em in my sinister plan. The tabloid bloggers would be offered Morris Marinas: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Morris_Marina

The print tabloid jounralist would get some Austin Allegros: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Austin_Allegro

The general paps will be alloted some Leyland Princesses: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Leyland_Princess

And finally, the tabloid associated paps will get old Yugos: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yugo_45

Just using a little Top Gear logic, and Jeremy Clarkson might off the Top Gear Top Tip of not being one of the paparazzi or tabloid cretins because you be given a crappy car to reflect the crappy choice of occupation they chose. Also, when one understands how horrid the cars are and how horried those aspects of the media are, you'll find some good metaphors as well I hope.

Talk about disrespect: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/tvshowbiz/ar ... inson.html

The article was pretty dispectful towards Kristen, and omits facts and even the photo they used was edited. I'm tired of this "you're a girl dating the most sought-after guy in H'wood" crap. And you can bet that if/when he read this, that Rob wasn't too happy, either.

By the way, the Daily Mail is a UK tabloid. They'd have us believe that the Morris Marina and the Austin Allegro were the best British cars ever made. However, anyone who's own or reseached them will tell you that they're damn near the worst cars ever made, period.

Talk about spin...

^^ That article is just terrible! Can you blame her for looking "irritated"(not really sure how to discribe that look) when you get camaras shoved in your face?? She is probably just squinting agains the light. And is this really newsworthy? Find something interesting to talk about, Daily Mail! Ugh, how I hate pictures like this.

Chernaudi, I have been growling at magazines for the last year or so...
I really hate when they write shoot...

yesterday was really bad, I was reading a magazine with an article from june this year, about Rob being single again and hitting the clubs...please people we all know Robsten is a fact, be nice...
I threw the magazine back on the table...

I really do try not to give in to the nonsence... I'm not buying magazines at all besides from the comso for the fashion tips...and I refuse to post papz pics... or it has to be something really important, like a proposal or something...

oooh and I like you sinister plan... :D ... I'll buy in to that!!
hahaha but seriously, the US/UK should take up the rules of our royals... I know the Queen of Brittian have implied the same rules for William and his girlfriend ( for all royals I believe) on advise of the Dutch Queen...maybe Obama could need some advise from HRH Beatrix...

Maybe the paps will give up if they were rented cars that wouldn't start half the time and fall apart and would barely function. It's like what Jeremy Clarkson said about the Morris Ital (a facelifted Marina) in his DVD "Unleashed on Cars": Appereantly, it can out run a Mercedes-Benz 200. So can my lawn mower.

I think that a lawn mower can out run an Ital :)

In all seriousness, I think that the press should be a little more respectful towards Kristen and Rob. Basically no point in denying that they're an item now, at least they don't try and advertize it. And you can bet that Rob wasn't in a good mood when he read that article, and saw that the photo was edited (the two people beside Kristen weren't happy, either!).

On the main page, there are published reports about the security around Kristen, Rob and Stephenie--it seems that in light of the recent gunfight between police and criminals in a hotel, the Brazilians aren't going light on security! In addition to their own private security, the local and Brazilian Governments have provided Military Policemen (Gendarmes, as they're known in France, and are very similiar in concept to the US Army MPs, and the Marines, Navy and Air Force have similar arms, but Gendarmes have a more civil oriented role than their US equivlants, which mostly handle base security, etc).

Good to hear that the fans haven't been too rabid (most aren't, anyways, but there are still the few that give the saga's fans a bad rap) and that the paps and tabloid people are keeping their distance. Maybe the Brazilian Gendarmes armed with Colt .45 automatic pistols and high powered FAL rifles have given the paps, derranged fans and others wishing to start something a second thought. After all, Rio was the sight of a fierce gunbattle between local police, Gendarmes and criminals recently, so there's good reason for that security, not just to keep fans from doing something stupid.

EDIT: To clear things up, I was refering to the gun battle between police and criminal in the hotel hostage situlation where the crooks tired to use people in the hotel as human sheilds. The Police cleared that up effectively--no one got hurt aside from the criminals. I don't mean to cause offense, just pointing out not to screw with the Brazilian police or MPs

This is a tricky one. Whenever I see clips or photos clearly taken by Paparazzi, I always internally cringe. I think they are rude, intrusive, and create potentially volatile and uncomfortable situations. No matter how much young Actors and Actresses are prepared for this amount of interest in their personal lives, there are bound to be situations where they have just had enough. Personally I think Kristen and Robert have shown a great deal of restraint and maturity when handling it and should be commended for that. It is one thing for people to be yelled at, harassed and photographed at a Movie Premier or similar Publicity event, where it is almost part of their job, but it is another thing entirely when they can not even walk down the street, have a coffee with their other half or friend, or even walk to their cars. I can not imagine how awful it must be to lose that simple privacy which is everyone's basic human right.
However, there is an enormous market for this kind of thing, especially with the increased use of the internet and Social Networking sites, and the only way to stop these photos being marketable is to not finance it. I loath Pap photos and Gossip magazines and don't ever buy them, because I wouldn't want to be a part in individuals lucratively profiting from what can only be described as legal harassment.
