Here is a video about how to fit the shirts.

that's quite the useful tip... thanks... :D ... my grandma is being helpful with making too wide clothes in to more fitting things. making a waistline and all those things. I hope to learn it myself some day.

that one of my problems as well, but I recently found out that if you go for the victorian style dresses, so with a tight waist and flowing out and wear heels you will look great... I bought a long victorian style coats this winter. it only looks good when I'm wearing heels but it really does wonders for your figure..

I'm planning a summer trip to Vegas this year and my wardrobe is completely unsatisfactory. I've got jeans, hoodies, tank tops, tee shirts, flip flops and chucks. I recently bought some skirts (a green knee length thjing, a brown high waisted skirt that is a bit short and a black pleated mini skirt) except i have no tops to go with them and unless i wear stilletos they make my thighs look fat. i can't wander around the strip all day in my favorit four inch heels!

HELP! What am I doing wrong and why am I so fashion inept?

Mini skirts are cute with half long leggings and sneakers...going for the more rocker look...black skirt can be worn with all colors on it...you don't have to wear heels, ballerina's can be a really good option and those with a gold or silver color can be worn for more formal...

I take it you'll be gambling, I don't know about Vegas rules but in Holland you have to wear more formal clothes...skirt and blouses are always good. don't forget skirts can be worn with booths as well, just gives an extra spike to them...
Especially the brown skirt, with a white blouse and heeld booths. ( I don't know maybe it's a bit too warm for Vegas)

btw, I should really go for Ballerina's slippers... to wear, they are comfortable...
I can give more ideas, let me know if you need them

Thanks. I haven't actually thought about the dress code at the casinos (I'm more interested in the shows and rides than losing money) but I know I'll be going. I guess I need to go buy blouses and ballet flats.

Thanks for the tip. I'll definitely try that although I'm not so sure I should wear heels that often haha (see my post on the True Things or Team Switzerland thread). I found a very nice dress online but found out it wasn't being sold in the Netherlands. But at least now I know what to look for.

Ballet flats are fantastic! Last year I bought this black pair that I could wear both casual and formal. I wore them almost every day. I also own a red/white polka dotted pair and they are so fun. I've had them for several years now and I still like to wear them.

Recently I bought a pair of white jeans and I'm really loving them. With the nice weather that we had the past week it's really brightening my day and my wardrobe! I'm ready for summer!

Well, I grew up around Rotterdam so I love to shop there. Now I live in Leiden, which I find a very beautiful and historic city with a great center, lots of terraces by and even on the canals. There's this one street (Breestraat. You must have heard of that, it's on the Dutch monopoly game board, haha.) that has like 5 or 6 bookstores next to each other and I love going there. It's also a great place to find dresses. Since half the population consists of students, there's a huge demand for party dresses  . There's one shop that I drive by every day that has beautiful goth/middle ages type dresses in every color you can imagine. It's not really something I would wear except for at a costume party, but they are absolutely amazing. I love looking through the windows when I drive by, they have something new on display almost every day.
I've never been shopping in The Haque or Enschede, maybe I should try it sometime. :D I hear Breda is a good city to shop as well. I've only been there once and can't really remember except that they had a gigantic H&M.

Edit: Oh my! I just found out that they are opening three Steve Madden stores in Holland!!! His shoes are gorgeous. A little expensive though, but maybe I will treat myself on a pair when I get my Bachelor's degree (hopefully this summer).

Hey! :) Shall we get this thread going again?

What styles are you planning on wearing in the fall? I'm going to college so I want to get myself some new outfits and I'm thinking of pairing cute jackets with check shirts and jeans. I just got the new H&M catalog and there's a whole bunch of things I would like.

Also on my fashion wish list is a pair of black high heels. I want to get a style which is classic but not old-fashioned as I don't actually have any black heels and I really want some. :)

How about you? What are your current fashion tastes?

At the moment it's a bit of a jumble actually... I'm a classic rock chick metal head... so my taste always goes towards the black and punk... but also clothing from the early 1900 and medieval times...I really love the victorian clothing as well...besides that I have fashionable skirts, dresses and jeans to mix it all up...

Sounds interesting. :) I'm not into punk at all but I'd quite like to do a toned-down version of rock chick style: maybe like Kristen's look as Joan Jett in The Runaways (but very toned-down - I don't want to go hardcore with it).

What would you suggest for me? I'm already good at doing the smudgy black eye-liner look so I've got that part sorted. :)
