Hi Everyone!

Just a quick pop-in post to say hello. I know, I know, it's waaaayyyy overdue, but life is nuts AND I have no computer right now. :? (The stupid thing finally died for good this time, so we'll have to wait and see if our tax return money is enough to cover both a new car and a computer. *chewing nails*)

Other than the lack of computer, which is messing with my sanity at times, nothing terribly exciting has happened since Caryn's visit. I'm glad one of us was able to finally get a pic up. I laughed when Christina told me what happened with the camera. I've accidentally recorded a video instead of taking a still shot sooo many times! Oh well, at least she figured out how to do a screen shot. I'm not sure I know how to do that yet.

Anyway, I apologize for being so absent of late. I miss you all, but mostly I miss having the free time to keep up with everyone and everything. I have many pages to catch up on and see how your lives are going. I hope things are well and you're all having a wonderful 2012 so far.

Well, I only have 43 more minutes of time on the computer here at the library, so I better start reading posts.

Hugs! ~Ginnie

Well, it's raining and raining and raining here at the moment. I feel like I'm in Forks! (it's the only upside to this weather!). We've also been blessed this week, in that Hubby's still managed to do most of his work (usually the rain halts it completely). On Monday six shoots were completed successfully, which will be a big improvement for our January sales figures.

Songbird - yes, today, on day three, he's still happy about going to school. That's great! He seems to be getting along well with his teacher, too.

Caryn - that photo of the three of you looks great! Yes, I'm delighted at Rob's success, too. It seems the fans he has gained through Twilight are ready to move on with him. Hopefully Summit will see it and realise that Twilight fans are ready to move on, and won't make this stupid TV show they're talking about. I've been coping okay with school. The hardest thing for me as been walking there and back, seeing as it's been pelting down with rain every day so far. But I don't want to drive because there are always so many cars around already, and it's about 500 metres from our house.

Ginnie - computers can be a pain, can't they?

Just a quick check in before I head to bed before surgery -

I have to be at the same day surgery center at 5:45am - luckily we live only 15 minutes away. Still, I'll only get 5.5 hours of sleep at this rate.

I'm looking forward to getting some rest tomorrow!!

I'll post when I can.

Have a great week, everyone!

Good morning everybody!!!

Halfway through the week…time to start making plans for the weekend…reading and writing fanfic!!!!

I was so not in the mood to go to work this morning…I’m very afraid that I will get angry with my boss. I have been doing relaxing techniques yesterday to let go of my anger but I don’t feel that it worked a lot…

Anyway,

Songbird, Ann-marie is having a difficult time, she has been depressed for a while and now when we all thought a little light came to her life it has been taken away from her, she’ll need everybody’s strength…
My manager is more chaotic than a twilight premiere full with screaming girls… and more annoying, she works throughout the day with out saying much and than at the end of the day she remembers all the things she wanted me to do and dumps all the papers on my desk while I’m already away…she regularly thinks that she has handed me things and asked things when she hasn’t…
Yes, I feel that if you read a translation from English a lot of the humor gets lost because they translate it too literally…

Caryn, I don’t know if you saw my reply on FB… but just to remind you, Cedric and Edward are the same age… in HP Cedric is a 7th year Huffelpuf meaning he is at least 17…Edward was also 17 when he was change, so from this day on I don’t feel bad having smutty thought about Cedric…
It would be nice if Rob gets the recognition for either one of those movies…but I had hoped the same thing for Alan Rickman and see the Academy doesn’t even recognize that HP is a real movie… :banghead:

Ginnie, I’m sorry about your computer, I hope he had a nice funeral… this must be a bid damper on your writing…I couldn’t survive with out my computer…

Lynne, rain? Is your summer over already? Do you have those tropical rain storms?
A friend of mine is going to Australia in October, she is going to travel there for 18 months, completely alone…she has been saving money for it ever since she was 14…now that she is finally 18 she can go…

Susie, good luck with your surgery!!! I hope you’ll be pain free soon…

Kristener!! I see you!!!

Well see you later!!!

Just popping in to say hi & do a few quick replies. I wanna get some sleep since I'll have the house to myself for almost 2 days. Woot!

Tracy - I usually only take a cab to work now cause there's a lady I work with that gives me a ride home. She said she'd bring me to work if she could, but it's too hard for her to get out of bed early enough. Lol! I totes understand that. And the *muwah* is like the phonetic for a smooch. Hehe. :)

Marielle - Sorry to hear about your boss. She sounds like my step-mother. Ugh. Carlisle & Edward as our doctors? *fans self* Whew! I don't think anyone would ever leave. LOL.

Songbird - Rob as the doctor or the medicine? Is it possible to be both? LOL. I've never been to WWoHP. I haven't been to Disney World/Universal since 2007. I wonder if it's still so packed like that or if it was just cause of the opening? Hmm. Guess I'll see next time I go there. I woulda been so frustrated to wait as long as you did. Eek!

Caryn - As soon as I saw that it won, I immediately thought of you. Hehe. I watched the video of JH talking to Giamatti. How funny would that have been if he'd actually called Rob? I'll have to hop on over to ROBsessed. I haven't been there in a while. *is ashamed* I'm just so happy that Rob's movie won even though there isn't much exposure. Even though it's MTV, that's still HUGE for him! :D Also, I'm happy to hear that Littlun is feeling better.

Susie - Good luck with the surgery! I'll keep everything crossed that it goes well. Lol.

Hi everyone :)

First off, here's the new Toyota TS030 hybrid racing car:

http://www.racecar-engineering.com/news ... -revealed/

Also, I have to apologize for being absent the past couple of days. I've been sort of depressed and unhappy about somethings. I've been talking to a friend about some of the things that are upsetting me and some of the stuff with what's happened to Ann Marie has also been bothering me, too.

I hope that you all understand and I hope that I can get over this stuff soon.

I'll be back later :)

Well, as some of you may have seen on Facebook, I had a talk with Little Man's teacher today, and he told me that Kaden's been doing a lot of the grade one work! There are grade ones in his class as well as Preppies, and he has held his own amongst the grade ones. He just doesn't excel at the social side of things. He's not good at making friends. He got that from his mother!

marielle - yes, that's what we've got at the moment. Although it doesn't happen every summer sometimes we'll go through periods where December/January are REALLY wet. This is what caused the floods last year. This year hasn't been as bad as last year, but this week has been particularly wet.

Sean - (((HUGS))) I hope you're feeling better soon. It can be really difficult when you're in that kind of spot.

Kristina - yeah, I saw that interview with Paul Giamatti. I love his work. I didn't know he was in Cosmopolis. It gives me another reason to see it.

Quick update:

Last night on Secret War, there was the story of Dusan Popov, a Serbian born British agent who spied on the Nazis. He influenced the James Bond novel Casino Royale by being witnessed at a Portuguese casino betting on a roulette game by none other than Ian Fleming, then a Royal Navy Intelligence Officer. Flemming, of course, was inspired by several British agents and British Army commandos, including his brother Peter.

Popov was also interesting because he was given info by German operatives a questionnaire about Pearl Harbor that he intended to turn over to the US Government, but FBI boss J. Edgar Hoover was distrustful of Popov and didn't believe his story. He saw Popov as little more than a fear monger and, threatening him with prosecution under the Mann act (for having taken his girlfriend from New York City to Florida), insisted that he leave the US ASAP or face possible retribution for his "fear mongering". Hence, Hoover dismissed Popov's information as unimportant and likely a hoax. However, the Germans and the Japanese were investigating a Royal Navy attack against the Italian fleet at Taranto, such Admiral Yamamoto used as the basis of his Pearl Harbor attack plans.

Speaking of Japan and Germany, Audi and Toyota will now be the headliners at Le Mans this June. Here is an onboard with the Toyota TS030 taken earlier posted by Toyota Motorsports GmbH on their own website:

Doesn't sound like a hybrid, now does it? Well, here's proof:

I'll be headed to bed soon, hopefully to have a better time of things when I wake up later.

I'll be back later :)

Caryn, how did your training go? Did you have a nice morning? What is BabySiL? Is that Sister-in-law? Cute picture, despite the problems. Which one are you? And which is Ginnie and which is Christina?

Ginnie, sorry your computer died! It sucks to have to rely on library computers! Hope you can get a new one soon.

Lynne, we had that last week and over the weekend. It was finally dry on Monday and I haven’t had to bike in the rain at all this week! It’s great that Little Man is doing so well on his work! Sounds like our kids need to merge….My daughter would do fine with her work if she wasn’t too busy being social. Her teachers say they have to continually remind her to do her work because she always wants to talk to whomever is in the vicinity.

Susie, I know you aren’t here, but I just wanted to say I’m sending very positive thoughts your way!! I hope it all goes well! (or went well…don’t know what time they were actually doing the surgery)

Marielle, there’s got to be a way for her to be more efficient so you can do your work in an organized way! I understand a need for flexibility, but if things are unorganized and chaotic, you don’t get nearly as much done! She must realize that! Is she at least nice about it, or does she chew you out for things that don’t get done because she forgot to give them to you?

Kristina, Rob/Edward can be Dr. Feel Good. According to my friend who lives in Kissimmee, it’s not quite as busy now at the WWoHP, but it’s still pretty packed and the lines are long. But you don’t have to wait in line to get into the shops anymore, nor to get into the HP part of Universal. But they are also getting complaints that there is nothing for the general public…it’s all roller coasters and thrill rides...nothing that people with children can do and nothing that elderly, pregnant, overweight, or sick people can do. (except Olivander’s, but only one person per group gets to actually do that, and I think they have around 25 people per group)

Sean, sorry you are feeling down…perhaps you could watch some twilight to cheer yourself up? Or look over some KrisCrack? I always find youtube videos to be a great source of laughter.

I don’t think I missed anyone, but hello anyway!!

I am SOOOOO sore. I think I overdid it today. I am so anxious to drop pounds and I was a bit sore this morning, so I canceled my vacustep and did regular cardio instead, but I did an hour, splitting it between a cross trainer and a treadmill…but now I can hardly climb the stairs in my house. Whoops. Perhaps tomorrow will be a bike day for cardio….or just treadmill. And then maybe some free weights.
The kids and I made cupcakes this afternoon. I don’t know if I mentioned it before, but my daughter was going to a special class 4 mornings a week because last year, her testing showed that she had a very limited vocabulary (I’m not surprised, as they only test her DUTCH vocabulary and she’s bilingual. She probably has a larger vocabulary than any of the other kids, it’s just divided into 2 languages, only one of which gets counted), so they put her in this program where she goes 4 mornings a week to a class that focuses on language. They make word clusters (like if the theme is weather, the words would be things like rain, snow, winter, summer, sun, umbrella, etc) and they study words that begin with a particular letter….so she’d bring this box home and it would have the letter R in it and we had to look for things that start with R and put them in the box…etc..so at the end of last year, they retested (they always test in January, and then again in June, the same test, to see improvement) and she scored WAY better (January was an E- the lowest possible, June was B/C- average), so she wasn’t actually eligible for the class, but they thought she should try it for a half year anyway and see how it went. You had to sign a contract that you were committed and bla bla bla. So now she did her half year and the teacher said she didn’t know what to do with her because she was so far ahead of the other kids and she couldn’t see what she needed help with. So she just had her test again, and this time she scored ABOVE average (B) instead of failing. And her teacher said if she stayed in the class, she’d have to find other work for her than what the other kids are doing because she’s “head and shoulders above the others”. So she isn’t going to that class anymore…so tomorrow she’s having her “goodbye” party and gets to bring treats and she wants cupcakes with roses on them. So we made cupcakes and now we have to decorate them…thank goodness there are only 11 kids. Making roses takes a while and my hands are going to hurt by the end.
