Re: The Batman Movies
I've seen all of the Batman movies, but personally I think the old ones were way too cheesy... I loved Batman Begins and the whole Raaz Alguhl(sp?) plot though. And the Dark Knight-wow! I saw it in imax and it was amazing! The joker attractive? I didn't think so, but he sure scared the heck out of me(uh-oh...I 'wonder' why people are attracted to him ) And the nurse uniform was so priceless. I would totally buy a poster with Heath Ledgar wearing that Yup, it's a well deserved Oscar
WARNING: I cannot be held responsible for the above, as apparently my cats have learned how to type.

Yeah. Ra's Al Ghul is pretty sweet.
If Heath Ledger doesnt win the oscar, I'll probably be screaming so much, I won't be able to speak for weeks from using my vocal chords too much. haha. Really though, it's deserved.

Re: The Batman Movies
My cousin and I were just talking about this movie over the weekend. He commented that the movie couldn't be 'that good' because it was rated PG-13.
I disagreed with him--there are elements of horrific violence in the movie (i.e the pencil trick). What makes the movie SO good/dark is that it makes you visualize the destruction, the blood, the gore, etc. It puts you in a really dark place mentally because of all that. My husband described it as being mentally raped.
What do you guys think?

Re: The Batman Movies
I absolutely loved the Dark Knight!!!!!!!!!!!! I left the theater with my brain in a fog. I am just sad that we can't see Heath Ledger in movies anymore *sniff sniff*. My mom thought that it was too dark and sinister, but that's the Jokers whole thing! But it was amazing and I loved it!

Re: The Batman Movies
I am officially saying that the Dark Knight is and shall continue to be, the best movie ever.
Ok maybe that was a little much but I do think that it was the best movie of 08, its only competition is twilight.
The movie's story line was deep, it didn't just focus on one character or the hero vs villian plot. Every character revieved equal screen time and the only character that was over the top and out there was the one who was supposed to be (why so serious..sound familiar?)

I agree with you. Because you have to visualize most of the grapics for yourself only makes the violence that much more real. Also the way the violence was shot was very good. It didn't dwell on violence or spend thirty minutes stabbing a guy with a pencil. When there was violence it was very quick, which I also believe made it all the more realistic.mcdowellswife wrote:My cousin and I were just talking about this movie over the weekend. I agree. I think I've been to see it 4times now, and I am ordering 2 Dark Knight t-shirts off the internet right now (both with the Joker).waiting tobe dazzled wrote:I am officially saying that the Dark Knight is and shall continue to be, the best movie ever.
I gotta admit, I'm one of the weird people who find the Joker attractive, what I think it is with me, and most people, is that the Joker is truly the ultimate 'bad boy' that every girl has a crush on at some point.

Re: The Batman Movies
Four...Lucky! I've only seen it twice. I've seen several batman shirts at hot topic that I really want.
The ultimate bad boy part I completly agree, he deserves every "best villian" award out there. I understand about finding him attractive. if I wasn't completly devoted to Christian Bale then I probably would too. However then his scar stories come to mind...I guess I would just be to worried that maybe the wife one was the truth and that I was going to be his payback to women lolWaffle of Doom wrote: I gotta admit, I'm one of the weird people who find the Joker attractive, what I think it is with me, and most people, is that the Joker is truly the ultimate 'bad boy' that every girl has a crush on at some point.

It was the hot topic ones, the card one and the why so serious one where he's a blurred.waiting tobe dazzled wrote:Four...Lucky! I've only seen it twice. I've seen several batman shirts at hot topic that I really want.

Yes, that scar story is scary, but I really doubt it's truth. Wish I knew what actually happened, although the Joker's so insane he probably did it himself just because.
