I know you were expecting blue, but at least it is me...

I'm doing a drive by because I just got home from supper after soccer and it has been a very very long day.

Rob just wanted to swing by and wish you all a Happy Valentine's Day

I'm back from dinner out with Hubs. We went to a Russian Restaurant in St. Paul on Cathedral Hill (you can see the majestic Cathedral from it's door). Since we live in Minneapolis, it was like going out of town even though it was only 30 minutes away. The food was great, but they were really rushing us so they could get another seating in after us.

Caryn!!! What a sight for sore eyes!

Hi Sarah
- Sounds like a very nice, low key Valentine's Day. Fun!

Brenda
- Hi!

Kayla
- Thank you for taking such good care of us!

Ginnie - Thanks for stopping by - Sorry about the holiday thing...

I'll check in a little later...

I made it! I made it! I've tried to read through the last few pages to catch up.

Since its the day of love, I just need to tell you all how much you mean to me ~ we all came here for different reasons, and meeting you, whether online or in person, really changed my for the better. I was opened up to a whole new world to share and discuss, not only all things TW and Rob :swoon:, but real life things as well. I may not get here very often, but please know I think about you all the time :)

Ok, favorite quote "Be safe" its one that has always stuck with me since my first read (which seems like eons ago)

And since I was volunteering all night (I know those of you who know me are shocked -LOL!) I really haven't seen the hubs at all, so I need to at least visit with him before bed.

Hope you all are well!!

laters!

Hi again everyone.

Well, my brother did win the race he did online tonight. Other than that, it's been a quiet night. I'll probably be going to bed fairly soon, having showered and got a good fire going in the stove. There's a few things left for me to do before then, but it won't be too long before I'm in bed reading and getting ready to sleep.

I hope that everyone had a great Valentine's day :)

I'll be back later :)

Happy Valentine's Day!!! Yes, it's still Valentine's Day in Arizona, even though it is tomorrow in Australia.

It was great to see everyone's posts and pics and ideas and the little things that have happened to you today. Most romantic thing that happened to you today: Hubs cooked dinner without telling me he was going to! Nice to suddenly not have that stress, best thing I could have asked for. AND he had pink tulips for me AND cupcakes for dessert! Very nice. We used to go out to fancy restaurants ... we will again in the future ... for right now we spend time with the kids.

Favorite romantic quotes (off the top of my head so they are not precise): "I was sure about three things.... I was completely, irrevocably in love with him." "After all the million times I told you I loved you, how could you let one word break you?" "You'll always be my Bella." Ah, l'amour.

Fave Saga song: still A Thousand Years. Turning Page is gorgeous and wonderful and deep, but I love 1000 Years for its dramatic way of saying that they were always meant to be in love, and that love is eternal.

No gifties, staying up late as it is! Posts:

Kayla, the heart and the new thread title ROCK. Thanks!

Marielle, I'm so sorry for you and BF. Grandmas are pretty special people and it's a big loss. My condolences to both of you.

Songbird, I forgot Nessa was a character in Wicked. You don't have to see the play, it is based on a book of the same name by Gregory McGuire. Very good, but kind of challenging... hard to explain. Check it out if you want, it was a bestseller.

Susie, I was sorry to hear about hubs being laid off, that's always stressful even when you are confident in your skills. Glad to hear he will be rejuvenating during this time and good luck with the job hunt!

Tammy, wow, those are pretty avies! I like your thinking! I like the top one a bit better with the sky around the heart. What about making the heart a bit bigger to fill the square more, and then turning the sparkles silver or gold or prismatic (vampire sparkles, ya know) and having them in a swirly pattern, with a beginning and end, rather than a cluster?

Now to close out the party with late night drunken confessions (no, not really drunk, just lemonade):

I'm working hard right now to microschedule myself which seems to be working very well generally. I still have more stuff to do than can be done, but if I write it down ahead of time and block time for tasks, it doesn't matter if I forget - I just check my calendar. I started at work but have now moved this to home, like this evening was 7:30-8, hang with kids, 8-8:30, dishes, 8:30-9:30, email etc ... although I did not block enough time for the party and am doing that from 10:45-11:30, when I should have been in bed at 11. Well, it's still better, and I am less stressed when I get more done.

Must go to bed NOW - did not get to bed on time past 2 nights either. LOVE, and see you on the new thread! I will bring decorations - maybe tomorrow???

Thank you to all who stopped by for the Valentine's e-party!
It was so much fun to see the thread busy again with posts from so many of my online friends.

Also, thank you to anyone who was lurking, but didn't have time to post.

Note to any "strangers" that were lurking -
You're welcome to join us in our fun. We welcome all newbies - we were all new at one time!

Sandy
- We think of you often, too! Thanks for stopping by.

Tonise
- It was SO great to see your post on the thread. I really miss you here. But I understand.

Tammy
- LOVE all your artwork!

Brenda - Nice to see you. I love the micro-scheduling idea. It also makes you conscious of how much time things take and how much time we just are spinning our wheels.

I guess I'll go over to our new thread now!

I guess it's back to normal now.

We're going to help some friends move house this morning. They've been moving all week, but they've still got some stuff left, so we'll help them out. Then we've got to try and find a birthday present for my father-in-law. He's one of the most difficult people in the world to buy for!
