You know what is sad? The fact that I haven't posted on here in over a week. I KNOW. I am so bummed. But whatever. I have come to share some updates...some good, some creepy. Sigh. In my life, there are always more creepy ones than good ones.
The Good First:
Last night was my friend Shayna's 16th birthday party, and she was co-hosting it with this girl named Hayden who goes to Galloway, which is a hippie private school here in Atl. This was nice, because there were a lot of really cute Galloway boys.
I was being sneaky and checking them all out when a big group of Galloway kids came in, along with the cutest guy EVER! Not like, Abercrombie model good looking, but cute in a quirky, Seth Cohen sort of way. (Which happens to be more of my type than some preppy dude.) So, I was like "Yo, I am totally having his kids. Done, done and done."
Howeve, before I had his kids, I thought it might be a good idea to meet the boy first. So I went and found my friend Emma who goes to Galloway, pointed at him and was like "INTRODUCE ME. NOW" She laughed and dragged him over and was like "Jacob, Virginia. Virginia, Jacob." (And his name is Jacob! Ack!) Then she left and we stood their talking for a while. God, he's so cute. I don't even remember what I said, but it was probably weird, lol. Oh well. I didn't get to talk to him again, but at least he knows my name, since I'm going to be having his kids. That's probably important.
(And Holden can totally second this, seeing as I'm Facebook chating with him and was when I got this and had a freakout, lol. Thanks Holden.
The other day, this kid Jeff who I've NEVER TALKED TO IN MY LIFE, EVER Facebook chatted me and was like "Hey, what's up?" I thought he might have started talking to the wrong person, since he has never talked to me before, but then he was like "Are you there?" I was kind freaked, so I logged off and didn't think anything of it. That is, until I logged in tonight and THIS was in my mailbox:
"hey virginia this is jeff parks. But any ways. My parents are telling me to ask . i don't care if you say no , because i don't know you and i don't think you know me. But will you be my escort to homecoming."
WTF AT MY LIFE. (I think I said this exact same thing to Holden...) WHAT IS UP WITH GUYS I'VE NEVER TALKED TO ASKING ME OUT?! God, here I am swooning over all these nerdy cute boys when the only ones I get are the creepers. And what is he talking about, "my parents are telling me to ask"? Does he mean they told him "Jeff, ask Virginia" or were like all "Jeff, you have to ask someone" and he chose me? But why did he choose me? Did he think I would say yes? (Obviously he doesn't know me very well.) Did he think I was so date hungry I'd say yes to anyone? Well, I have news for you, Jeff Parks: NO WAY JOSE. I mean, of course I'm not going to say it like that. I'll just tell him thanks, but I've already made plans to go with a group of friend, or something lame like that.
Now I'm listen to Wilco and drinking mango tea in order to calm myself down. I'm debating telling my mom, but when I told her I got asked out by that kid in PE, she laughed a lot. So I might not.
I wish there was a portal I could take to like, a secret NBOAD treehouse or something and all ya'll would be there (and maybe some junk food too) and I could wine about this and be creeped out with everyone. Because you guys would (and you will) make me feel better, and would probably make it funny. So that's my wish: super duper Lex portal! Whoo!
