Of course, Immy. It was great!Immy93 wrote:I loved the film!
I think it dealed with teenage pregnancy in a very good way!
It showed it for what it is!
It's not glamorous and you have to make descisions that are painful.
It's a subject that's very close to my heart but I don't want to go into it because I don't want you to judge me.
The acting was superb and I think it really captured the feel and there were some hilarious one liners!
10 out fo 10
Does anyone agree?

Re: The movie Juno
That quote bothered me immensely because Morgan Freeman wasn't in The Bone Collector. I love that movie, and Morgan Freeman is not Denzel Washington (I do love them both, though.) Like, I was in the theater and was like "wtfwtf wrong actor, hipster kid!"Krystina the Alien wrote:My friend Melanie and I literally quote Juno and Leah, all the time.
"Yo yo yiggidy yo"
"I'm a suicide risk"
"Juno?"
"No, it's Morgan Freeman, do you have any bones that need collecting?"
"Ha, only the one in my pants."
and I can quote Juno after she comes back from the abortion clinic. Su Chin cracks me up! "All babies want to get borned!!"
Anyway, I thought it was a fairly cute movie. The dialogue seemed horribly contrived, which bothered me. It was blatantly reaching out to the "witty" "hipster" "outcast" kids that seem to overpopulate today's school systems (since, nowadays, 'outcast' and 'strange' seems to be the norm), but not trying to be overly realistic with the characterization of Juno. I'm not saying people like Juno don't exist, I'm simply saying I think she could have been a more relateable and less annoying character.

Re: The movie Juno
We actually had to shut off this movie because it was so crude.
Good thought, but of course it was too dirty for me. I really should've known.

While I like the movie, I wasn't overjoyed with it.
It was good but yet it was ok (does that make sense). I can't understand what all they hype was about it because I didn't find it all that exceptional.
I did like Ellen Page but I thought she did a better job in her X-men roll.

Was it the nudity part at the beginning? Yeah...that was a little awkward for me but the rest of the movie was pretty innocent...to an extent.debussygirl wrote:We actually had to shut off this movie because it was so crude.

Re: The movie Juno
Hmm...I really like Juno (I even own the movie) and my 13 year old sister has a copy too I think that my mom got her.
I was one of those people that wasn't at first all that excited about it but then decided to give it a try. Like I said I really like Juno. And I really didn't think it was too dirty but I understand how it could be seen that way. But that's just going by my opinion. I have to admit I wouldn't consider it among my absolute favorite movies that's reserved for POTC trilogy and my other movies I love.

Re: The movie Juno
I understand that. Hmm...I guess that's all I have to say about that. I mean there's nothing else I have to say about the movie except I didn't like it when she was going to have the abortion. Okay, that's it enough said.debussygirl wrote:No, we shut it off when she was at the abortion clinic.edwardlikeshaystacks wrote:Was it the nudity part at the beginning?
