Hebetude- n. Mental lethargy

And pneumonoultramicroscopicsilicovolcanoconiosis, lung disease caused by the inhalation of silica dust. Coined to be the longest word in the dictionary. You can always count on the sciences to outdo themselves even in language.

Another one of my favorite words is horchata. In order for it to be fun to say, though, you must say it with a Spanish-speaking accent! It's so much fun! ;)

Bubble.... I just like the way it rolls out of your mouth!
squirrel.... especially the way some british people say it... (like Hammond from Top Gear)
Frisbee... my cat's name :D

I know this doesn't really pertain to literature but I was having too much fun thinking of those words!

- Oblivious! My favorite word! Whoo!
- D'oh! After my beloved Homer Simpson.
- Crabits. Taken from the gibberish talk from the people in The Sims game.
- Detrimental. The word is pretty cool sounding.
- Chorale. It just sounds like it rings.

“They weren't yells, or howls, or shouts, or whoops, or yawps, such as you'd expect from a manly set of vocal organs--they were simply indecent, terrifying, humiliating screams, such as women emit when they see ghosts or caterpillars.” ["The Ransom of Red Chief" by O'Henry]

Well, I have a blackout. I've got tons of favourite words but they just won't come to my mind.

"Avalanche" is a great word... ;)
