"Timeo Danaos et dona ferentes." Aeneid II.49, Virgil
me: "So what does that make me?"
my friend: "A preppy, demi-goth nerd."
me: "That is such a paradox."

Timeo lamiam et puellam ferentem....

Here is a suggestion for you guys. You know...there's a Latin wikipedia (Vicipedia), where people have set about translating lots of wikipedia entries into Latin. I'll bet you no one has attempted any of the Twilight-related ones yet. Maybe you should try your hand at, say, the entry for Edward Cullen....

OME, how did I completely miss that!

By the way, one of my friends now claims that I have ruined her life because she is going to devote herself to translating articles for the Latin wiki. Too bad she hates Twilight with a passion.

I'm learning Latin at school this year, but I only just started and I don't know very much yet.
I like the way amabam sounds when you say it out loud :D

amabam is nice :] at my school, we like "amabas" beacuse there's someone named Abass so it sounds like "I'm Abass" yeah, we're lame.

oh, speaking of Abass. in the Aeneid, there's a character named Abas (well, there's two actually) and they both die and BOTH times when we got up to that part Abass didn't show up for class. it was amusing. that was a lame side note, sorry, haha.

so i took the AP test on friday and it was.. not terrible? i was excited that the rock passage made it! hehe. a rock, a huge rock. oh my, i'm such a nerdy nerd.

Heh. My daughter says "YES, the awesome rock passage!" Though she personally prefers the sleep simile. And she really liked multiple choice passage about the plane tree. All in all, it wasn't as bad as she thought it was going to be.....
