I don't know if I would really classify this moment as nerve wracking, but for me it was heart stopping....acutally, maybe heart accelerating.....
"His hand curved around my elbow, moving slowly down my arm, across my ribs and over my waist, tracing along my hip and down my leg, around my knee. He paused there, his hand curling around my calf. He pulled my leg up suddenly, hitching it around his hip.
I stopped breathing. This wasn't the kind of thing he usually allowed. Despite his cold hands, I felt suddenly warm. His lips moved in the hollow at the base of my throat
."
Eclipse, pg 186

Well, didn't I just nearly fall off the couch reading that part!!

Hello!
Well, as many of you already said, one of the most heart stopping moment for me was reading "the end" in NM.
pag.70:
"You're not good for me, Bella", when I read these words I was really moved...I had tears in my eyes...
but another touching moment was in chap. 17 NM pag.382 : "Alice, oh Alice" I cried, as I slammed into her.
Finally Alice was back...I was happy reading these words.

However the most nerve-wracking moment was in "Eclispe": chap. 23 pag. 525 Will you kiss me Jacob?", when I read these words I couldn't believe my eyes...

Oh...I forgot this one too....In the New Moon movie when Bella wakes up screaming night after night...That was just tourcher for me to sit through....But I must give kudos to Kristen Stewart for that heartfelt realization. I cried in the theater...I don't cry in public very often.... But this was SOOO real.

I hid in my jacket so nobody would see me crying when Bella was crying in NM. But in the book Charlie didn't go to her night after night, did he? Was I wrong?

Hello! In the book it's not said if Charlie go to her night after night. When he tells Alice what happened to Bella after Edward left her he says" It was night of the living dead around here. I still hear her screaming in her sleep...". So he says that she was screaming during the night but not that he was going to her..... I like that scene in the film however.....

In the book it's implied that Charlie came into her room for screaming.... When she says, "Charlie quit coming in my room after awhile" Or something to that effect...

I know for a friend of mine who was listening to the audio book of Breaking Dawn, it was the preparations for the big fight at the end. I remember she posted on her Facebook, "Cullens are getting ready to fight, I'M SO NERVOUS"

I think for me it was the birth scene, I knew in my head they would inject her in time but man it was making me sweat!

Hello!
You're right Belice, I forgot this passage in the book when I wrote my previous post  In the book it's implied that Charlie goes into her room because of the screaming, but I liked they've deceided to put it on screen.

I think the most heart stopping moment for me was in Breaking Dawn. It was all of page 722 and 723, where Bella puts Renesmee on Jacobs back and she tells her that she loves her "More than my own life". Then Edward realizes what is happening and tells Jacob "Goodbye, Jacob, my brother...my son". It makes me tear up just thinking about it. I really really hope they put that whole scene in the movie!

exotec wrote:I agree with the rest about the scenes you mentioned. But another very poignant and heart-wrenching scene is the one after Jacob's been injured in the newborns fight, and Bella comes to visit him and finally admits her love for him (too). Of course, Edward will always be the one who feels right for her, I don't dispute that. But Jacob's just a kid, and has gone through so much, tried to step up to the challenge with Edward (which he suspected all along he wasn't up to)... he gave it his best shot, all he had, and then finally admits defeat. And to have her confirm what could have been for them - well, it was a teary moment. :|

I have to confess to some fretfulness about how the movie is going to depict Bella's run through Volterra ... because one clip I saw was totally devoid of any other humans other than Bella. So much of that scene depends on her fighting to get through the mob and taking a shortcut through the fountain ... I hope they stay true to that. It wouldn't make a lot of sense without those details. Especially... why would Edward choose to expose himself to a throng of people on a festival day when there's no people in the square? Just doesn't make sense.

I know! That scene mad me so incredibly sad. Jacob's quote really made me all emotional: "I’m exactly right for you, Bella. It would have been effortless for us — comfortable, easy as breathing. I was the natural path your life would have taken… If the world was the way it was supposed to be, if there were no monsters and no magic…"

And Bella saying this to Jake: How can we be friends, when we love each other like this?

Another one from Bella:
i probably won’t think she’s good enough for you. I wonder how jealous I’ll be.

I thought this one was sad, too: He’s like a drug for you, Bella. I see that you can’t live without him now. It’s too late. But I would have been healthier for you. Not a drug; I would have been the air, the sun.

Okay, so let me know what u think of my reply. These are just quotes in Eclipse that I found especially sad. So, let me know.
