Discuss here anything to do with vampire's eyes,

How long does it take to go from Red to Yellow (taking into account how long they've been on their particular... diet)?
Why Yellow and not some other color?, etc...

I think his eyes are beautiful in the movie no matter what color....but I love when they are golden brown! In the movie when she asks him about contacts....they are so pretty there!

Bella became a vapire just before she turned 19 in September and her eyes had become an orangish colour by December. I think it would take little more than 6 months before they turn yellow.

I wonder how long it took Jasper's to turn yellow.
He drank human blood for a long time before he found Alice.
I wonder if that made the color change take longer.
I wonder how long it would take, say, Laurent's eyes to change (his death aside, of course).

i think it would be the same length of time for everybody. Someone mentioned 6 months. i think that's correct. it proberly took jasper 6-7 months as well.

Does a newborn vampires eyes go black when they are hungry? or do they stay red for the 6 months period?

I think they turn red when they're hungry whether they are newborn vampires or not.

And I have a question... do vampires eyes turn a certain color according to their moods? I heard someone on here say something like that.

No I'm pretty sure moods have nothing to do with it.

I remember reading parts where Edward's eyes went from a liquidish state to a solid state a few time when he was with Bella. And there was a little colour in his eyes before he went after James, and than they turned black. I think it would depend on how deep the emotional change in the vampire is.

I think that hunger is the main part of what color their eyes are/turn,
but also mood but only if the mood/emotion is more dominant then their thirst.
I have a question though,
When Bella sees his eyes Black, that's supposed to mean he's 'thirsty', right?
Well if he was so hungry for them to turn black, why didn't he just attack Bella there?
Maybe they were black because he was frustrated because he knew he couldn't [because he had to restrain from attacking her]?
I hope this question made sense, but when I saw this topic,
it immediately came in my head.
