Can you imagine how awkward it would be to have Edward, the mind-reading virgin and Tanya, the thousand-year-old succubus together though?

Some of the Denali covern are succubi but, do they kill them while they are... intimate? BD, page 587, Edward speaking to Tanya and Kate---Edward answered, a bit of dark humor in his tone now."Human survivors of such trysts are even less common. Wouldn't you agree, cousins?"
This implies that since there are very few survivors, that they would die. But if Tanya and Kate do not drink human blood, why waste human life that way? You would think that if they were killing humans, they would drink their blood?

PC1 wrote: Tanya, Kate, and Irina had an interesting path that led them to "vegetarianism": they are the originals behind the myths of the succubus. Their fondness for human men eventually led them to feel remorse for their victims, and they slowly trained themselves to resist human blood.
So the Denali coven used to make use of the men in more than one way.

Love the banner, by the way.

I always took the PC in combo with Edward's quote in BD to mean that, yes, they stopped feeding on the men they were intimate with, but it may have taken them awhile to learn enough control not to kill them...in...other ways. I mean, I am sure that maybe while none of those men were as breakable as Bella, they were still pretty fragile in comparison to a mature female vampire who maybe hadn't learned to channel her excess into the pillows just yet.

Hmm. Now that you mention it, perhaps Edward should have asked the Denalis for advice regarding the whole "getting intimate" situation. :D

There's a conversation I would love to have overheard!!!! Can't you just see Tanya saying something like, "Well, it's easier just to show you, rather than try to explain how to do it best. Let me demonstrate." :o  Crap. Now there's a picture that's going to be stuck in my head all day!

And if he asked Kate, she would get him an illustrated, original, Sanskrit copy of the Kama Sutra, and put notes in the margin about what he should and shouldn't do. Wonder how he would have reacted to that wedding gift.

That is hysterical!!

But from what I read in BD, he certainly did not need any instruction. It came quite naturally for both. ;)
I mean, he bit pillows and broke a headboard and she didn't notice a thing. Pure bliss for both. :D

No more comment needed. ;) :D
