Jacob and Nessie

Yeah, well, in my opinon, i think that it is down right creepy that Jacob imprinted on Nessie. I mean come on its basicaly saying, I can't have you so I'm going to have your daughter. I know that imprinting is something that you cannot control and when it happens it happens, but still, ew. I didn't like Jacob to much when he was "in love" with Bella. But still, can you just imagene that conversation when Nessie and Jacob have thier first kiss "Hey mom guess what me and Jake had our first kiss today, it was so romantic!" and then Bella replies, "Oh yeah, I remember kissing Jacob, the one time I punched him in the nose, but the second time wasen't that bad, Nessie did you know that the two people that I've ever kissed are your father and Jacob" I mean come on ackward!

After you get pass the grossness you really do feel happy for Jacob, that he's found somebody, even if it is Bella's daughter, he has someone to share his life with, and a pluse side is that you know that the in-laws love you.

Considering that Jacob has imprinted it's probably the other way around. He probably likes Edward more because he looks like her!

She also looks like Bella, her mother, who he's kissed before. I would think that would be even weirder-for both Nessie and Jacob. I think he is very sweet with her and I'm not against their relationship, but I do think it is very weird. How would you like to fall in love with someone who had been in love with your mother and kissed your mother? It would weird me out. I think Nessie looking like Edward was probably easier for Jacob. It seemed like Jacob and Edward's issues were 100% resolved by the end of BD and they actually cared about each other.

And I don't think there's going to be any wierdness just because he kissed Bella...he loved her (and still loves her in a certain way), but Nessie was the complete reason for any stronger feelings that he felt for Nessie and I think once he imprinted on Nessie (and Bella calmed down ) everything just kind of worked itself out and things were the way they were supposed to be

Y'know the way I remember imprinting is described, it's like there's no one else except that one person. So Jacob's entire world now revolves around Nessie. So everything is in relation to how it relates to Nessie.

1) Bella is to Jacob: Nessie's mom and the reason for her existence in the first place. Of course Jacob loves Bella, but it's as Nessie's mom and as the person who brought her into existence.

2) Edward is to Jacob: Nessie's dad and the other reason for her existence in the first place.

It like he's got blinders on for anything that's not Nessie.

It almost makes me wonder if Jacob only fell "in love" with Bella because he was falling in love with half of Nessie's genetics. Could fate really be that weird that Jake would fall in love with Bella only for that reason? Because Bella would one day produce Nessie and there was that one ova in Bella that would one day become Nessie? Is that too weird of an idea?

that is what I was thinking. Make it like BD with Nessie, Jake, Nessie pov.
i was thinking that too. with another love triangle with jake, nessie & nahuel. but then again, i dont want jake to be put through that again. oh but i dont think nessie will end up with nahuel. imprints stay with their wolf. so nessie will stay with jake.

OF COURSE NESSIE STAYS WITH JAKE!! It'd be terrible if she'd get together with Nahuel.. But it'd be nice if Nahuel wouldn't kind of love Nessie, if he'd just think that she's the only one for him because she's the only halfvampire who isn't his sister. So I hope that it would be written so that Nessie wouldn't know that Jacob is imprinted on her and when she turns seven (adult) then Jacob would somehow try to figure out how to tell her and all that... It would be good if Nessie would know what imprinting is, but no-one would've told her that Jacob is imprinted on her. And then she'd always fear that Jacob would imprint and wouldn't think of her as the most important thing in the world anymore. Nahuel again would just think of Nessie as sort of his responsibility. So there kind of wouldn't be a triangle between them.. 'Cause I really don't want Jacob to get hurt again.

I think it's a good idea.. But then Jacob should've loved Edward too !! hahhaa But anyways, I think that Jacob loved Bella because without all the supernatural, Edward would've been dead whan Bella lived, and then Bella and Jacob would fall in love and have kids, grow older and all that. But Edward didn't die, and Jacob couldn't imprint on Bella because they were supposed to be together ONLY in the human world that doesn't have any supernatural in it. But the world does have supernatural things, and so Bella fell in love with Edward and then Jacob of course falls in love with their kid, 'cause who else ?!

I love your perspective, rosespecialist! Great points about the imprinting too. Jacob probably doesn't see Edward or Bella when he looks at Nessie, just Nessie. And your question isn't too weird and really kind of logical when you think about it. No, I don't think that the feelings Jacob had for Bella were in any way mystical. Like Bella says in Eclipse, if mythical creatures didn't exist then Jacob would have been her natural life's course. But Edward does exist and it is a mystical love that neither of them really had any control over. They are soul mates in a way that doesn't exist in the natural world. Jacob was suffering from the fact that his "natural world" soul mate had been lost to the supernatural world. And I see now that basically I am just seconding liisi.

And that's a very interesting idea, seniortwilighter. Can Jake and Nessie even have kids? Would they be immortal? That would be too sad for me if they weren't. I'd rather no kids than non-immortal ones.
