I think the whole stock market thing is way to much... cheating, I think so. I can understand the forgery and everything because well they are going to need all of that stuff. But cheating in the stocks. Isn't there a better way for Alice's power to go to use??Don't they already have a bagillion dollars?

I would totally look in the future for what the stocks are doing- I mean if CEO's, the government, and hedge fund managers are "incapable" (not willing) to show any form of transparency of what their ballance sheets actually look like and AND are controlling the stock market (and millions of people's deteriorating life savings) I would definately jump on that boat and earn millions of dollars and send it annonymously to charities and the people who got their life savings and homes ripped away from them, maybe do some good in the world... bt hey that's just me

First, if i could take a peak at the future of stocks, i would. I'm human enough to want to be finacially comfortable, or even... very comfortable. It's better than them breaking into a bank, or robbing fort Knox, which I'm sure they could do. lol.

Second, Is it really that different from anything else? They seem to enjoy stealing cars and speeding well beyond the limits in and out of the city.

Third, There is 9 total of them, and JUST to keep up appearnces, of A Doctor and his wife raising 7 adopted kids takes alot of money, they have to put on a show to the outer world, which means they even have to buy groceries. *cringes* They can't exactly ALL hold down jobs, as they try their best to have as little interaction with the human world as possible. I would imagine, they only started to interact with humans more so for Bella's sake (grad party, prom, so on).

Lastly, You have to remember, they have to move around every 7 years or so to protect their secret. Moving isn't cheap. Not to mention they have some EXPENSIVE habits and hobbies... Fast cars, Remodling, and Shopping. lol When you've been alive as long as they have, I imagine, they indulge, and who can blame them?

I personally don't see anything wrong with their stock market cheating. As for forgery, tax evasion, etc...that's pretty much necessary. The government can't really know about them.

Anyway, back on the stock market subject...I think it's okay. In the book, it didn't jump out at me like, "Oh! This is WRONG!". I mean, they have to deal with living forever, never growing old, not having kids, etc...They should at least live comfortably.

For example, if a hospital decided to google 'Carlisle Cullen' they'd find the he worked for a hospital for 7 years, which would be impossible since he fakes to be young when they first arrive. So, can they make their names disappear from all records/Internet?

I'm sure they are VERY thorough when they move, erasing all records, such as school records - imagine getting a new student and finding records saying they've already graduated - many times..? A little suss??

Well, they might do something like in Men In Black. How they deleted all that guys records and everything. If a small agency can do it, I am sure the Cullens can do it.

I was thinking the same thing. The Cullens are probably expert computer hackers. They would have to be- it's necessary for them to erase all files and memory of their time in a certain place. I'm sure they also move very far away from place to place. i.e. East coast to west coast. One thing I was considering though, is if someone got really suspicious about them, and Edward wasn't near to hear their thoughts, they might do some snooping into the Cullens past. It's a long shot, but say they found an old news byte or article in which the cullens are mentioned from like twenty years past. Something like Rosalie's obituary. You know that when Rosalie Hale died, the socialite of the town, everyone had to have found out! Well, I guess she would actually be reported missing, since there was no body to find, which is even bigger in a way. So, if someone found an old article on Rosalie Hale with a picture . . . saw the Rosalie hale at their school or in town with the same looks . . .they might figure some stuff out. Just some thoughts to consider!
