I' not really sure how some of these songs fit into the book, but I love them.

I listen to them all the time and I loooovvvveeee them :)

My favorite is in the Breaking Dawn playlist. It's Wolf Like Me by TV on the Radio.
My next favorite is one on the Midnight Sun playlist. I think this one fits in so perfectly. It absolutely perfect! It's Monsters by Matchbook Romance.

Stephenie Meyer has freaking superb musical taste in my opinion, and I find her playlists to be freaking genius. Just to have a playlist to go along with the books makes reading them an even more captivating and whole experience. What a good idea.

ANYWHO. My favorites are definitely Fix You by Coldplay from Jacob's point of view in New Moon. So perfect. I loved this song before I read the books, it makes me cry when I listen to it. I have such a personal connection with it and it expresses Bella's (and anyone else's) pain perfectly. Then The Scientist by Coldplay from Edward's POV at the end of New Moon. Again...PERFECT and sooo touching.
"Come up to meet you
Tell you I'm sorry
You don't know how lovely you are
I had to find you
Tell you I need you
Tell you I've set you apart"
gaaahh perfect! And then I Will Follow You Into The Dark by Death Cab For Cutie in Breaking Dawn, was like basically MADE for Bella and Edward. I love it.

My life was an unending, unchanging midnight. It must, by necessity, always be midnight for me. So how was it possible that the sun was rising now, in the middle of my midnight?

I need to know... does everyone love them or am I the only one who, so far, is HATING them.

I am listening to the Eclipse playlist because that is the current book I am reading. I cringe at most of the music and I find it really painful.

I like Mr. Brightside by the Killers... but I did before
Vindicated by The Dashboard Confessionals is good, maybe download worthy.
I'm listening to Infra-Red by Placebo and that's pretty good also, maybe download worthy.

that's as far as I am, but every song before those that I have not mentioned are like nails on a chalkboard to me.

bahah aww that's so mean! i must admit most of the songs on the playlist really aren't my taste in music...BUT there are definitely highlighted moments such as MUSE, LINKIN PARK, BLINK 182, DASHBOARD CONFESSIONAL and other bands i can't think of at the moment...but hey in my opinion if those songs keep the books comin' then PARTY ON! :D
Cause I've been waiting for a miracle, and i'm not leaving...

I don't mean it mean in any way...

I really want to like it. I like Travis (Eclipse) and I'm not giving up yet. I want to put together a playlist on my ipod. However it will not be a full playlist for each book... I'm not looking at the playlit, I am listening and then I check what it is if I like the song... or if it is torture. It is a personal problem that I've had all my live.

I know this is very pop-y but I think the lyrics are fitting for New Moon when Edward leaves then comes back....

No Air (Jordin Sparks & Chris Brown)
[Bella]
If I should die before I wake
It's cause you took my breath away
Losing you is like living in a world with no air, oh

[Edward]
I’m here alone, didn’t wanna leave
My heart won’t move, it’s incomplete
Wish there was a way that I can make you understand

[Bella]
But how
Do you expect me, to live alone with just me?
‘Cause my world revolves around you
It’s so hard for me to breathe

[Edward] *sigh*
I walked, I ran, I jumped, I flew,
Right off the ground to flow to you
There’s no gravity to hold me down, for real

[Bella]
But somehow I’m still alive inside
You took my breath but I survived
I don’t know how but I don’t even care

And "Realize" by Colbie Caillat For Jacobs POV

V1: Take time to realize,
That your warmth is
Crashing down on in.
Take time to realize,
That I am on your side
Didn't I, Didn't I tell you.

V2: Take time to realize
Oh-oh I'm on your side
didn't I, didn't I tell you.
Take time to realize
This all can pass you by
Didn't I tell you

But I can't spell it out for you,
no it's never gonna be that simple
no I can't spell it out for you.

V3: It's not always the same
no it's never the same
if you don't feel it too.
If you meet me half way
If you would meet me half way.
It could be the same for you.

C: If you just realize what I just realized
then we'd be perfect for each other
then we'd never find another
Just realize what I just realized
we'd never have to wonder
Just realize what I just realized

LOVE the playlists! I think the one from Midnight Sun is the best. I have discovered several new bands that I like just from that playlist. :D

omg, those songs fit PERFECTLY! good find=) this is a song that i think goes well when edward leaves. this is from bella's POV.

''When You're Gone'':

I always needed time on my own
I never thought I'd need you there when I cry
And the days feel like years when I'm alone
And the bed where you lie is made up on your side
When you walked away
I count the steps that you take.

Do you see how much I need you right now?

When you're gone
The pieces of my heart are missing you
When you are gone
The face I came to know is missing too
When you are gone
All The words I need to hear to always get me through the day
And make it okay, I miss you.

I've never felt this way before.
Every thing that I do
Reminds me off you.
And the clothes you left
They lie on the floor
And they smell just like you
I love the things that you do

When you walk away
I count the steps that you take

Do you see how much I need you right now?

When you are gone
The pieces of my heart are missing you
When you are gone
The face I came to know is missing too
When you are gone
all The words I need to hear to always get me through the day
And make it okay, I miss you.

We were made for eachother
Out here forever
I know we were (Yeah yeah)
All I ever wanted was for you to know
Everything I do I'll give my heart and soul
I can only breath I need to feel you here
With me!!

when you are gone
The pieces of my heart are missing you
When you are gone
The face I came to know is missing too
When you are gone
all The words I need to hear to always get me through the day
And make it okay, I miss you.

MRK wrote:Seriously did he WRITE this song for Edward and Bella...it's too perfect!

I'll Be by Edward McCain

The strands in your eyes that color them wonderful
Stop me and steal my breath
Emeralds from mountains thrust toward the sky
Never revealing their depth
Tell me that we belong together
Dress it up with the trappings of love
I'll be captivated
I'll hang from your lips
Instead of the gallows of heartache that hang from above

Chorus:
I'll be your crying shoulder
I'll be your love suicide
and I'll be better when I'm older
I'll be the greatest fan of your life

Rain falls angry on the tin roof
As we lie awake in my bed
You're my survival, you're my living proof
My love is alive not dead
Tell me that we belong together
Dress it up with the trappings of love
I'll be captivated I'll hang from your lips
Instead of the gallows of heartache, that hang from above

Repeat Chorus

I've been dropped out, burned up, fought my way back from the dead
Tuned in, turned on, Remembered the things that you said
Okay, WOW. This is one of my favorite songs, but I never thought about it being for Edward and Bella before. You are so right, MRK!!! It DEFINITELY just about sums it all up. :D

Love,

I don’t like to admit it, but I did think of New moon every time I heard no air on the radio. I love Vindicated because I think it conveys perfectly where Edward is in Eclispe, Still half believing he is ‘selfish and wrong’ for wanting Bella, but half being able to accept (after New Moon) that they are meant for each other and starting to believe that maybe he isn’t the monster he thought he was because Bella defiantly doesn’t see him like that. The song really gives the sense that he is totally bewitched (or dazzled!!) by his love. Totally fitting!

I also love Blackout by Muse for Edward, this I think, is for Twilight or his more brooding times, it really just gives off a eerie omnipotent sense that suits the immortal. And makes us see it from the (almost existentialist) point of view of the Edward that half berates himself for daring to hope. I believe it really depicts an important part of Edward.

I absolutely ADORE can’t take my eyes off you! I thought it was perfect I can so imagine Edward singing it to her
