not much to say bout Gustavo, but Kauri scared me a little. but when she knew bella was pregnant, it seemed like she was pretty concerned.

Well, I couldn't understand when Kauri said something in her language that Bella understand. Its amazing that she could identify Edward asap.

Can someone please tell me what "morte" means.
I don't speak spanish and it really annoyed me that it didn't say what it meant in the books.

Kauri seemed like an interesting character. and so is Gustavo - i love their names. so pretty <333

Morte means dead. I'm not sure on the exact tense because it's been ages since I took Spanish but definitely something about death or dying.

Edit: Muerte is actually the Spanish word. I believe Kauri was speaking Portuguese because of their proximity to Brazil but morte would be the equivalent word in Portuguese.

Kauri was speaking Portuguese. Portuguese is Brazil's official language; Spanish is everywhere else.

"Morte" means death, as in the noun not the adjective.

Thanks for the explanation of "Morte", but what is she trying to say in the book?

I'm pretty sure she was telling Edward that Bella was going to die... that the "baby" would kill her. Anyway, I thought she was so brave, confronting Edward when she knew what he was- props to her!

Oh I see. Thank you very much for the explanation! Now I get the part!
