The only actress that even comes close to the Wanda (her new body at the end of the book) I see in my head is Kate Bosworth. She's tiny and cute and blonde. The Wanda I see is different but Kate is pretty close...

Okay so I don't know if these guys match exactly what SM described in the book, but this is toootaly how I pictured most of these people...

I can't find annyone that looks like what I thought Ian and Jared looked like...I think maybe Justin Long would be a good Ian, assuming he can be serious, but theres an issue with his eyes being brown and not blue...

Jared: William Gregory Lee



Ian: If he was not so silly Jason Segel <3 so adorable and sweet. I don’t know if I could take him not being his hilarious self though


Kyle:This one is hard but maybe Ryan Renolds

I picture Jeb as kinda fat (even though they are starving) and in overalls. such a hill jack lol. And I have to think harder for Jamie I am lost for how to cast him.

Oh here is a good Jeb Greg Allman (not an actor really though)

I agree that Josh Duhamel would make a good Jared.
I don't really have anyone in mind for Ian or Kyle...but they would have to be amazingly handsome and look alike (as well as look like the actual character description), those are my only stipulations

I actually like Tommy Lee Jones as Jeb.

I don't know about Ryan Renolds as Kyle but I hope they could fit him somewhere in the movie . I love him!

For some reason I imagine Wanda (new body) having a Taylor Swift like look to her. Not exactly her but her long, blonde, curly hair and her bone structure…a bit shorter though.

What about for the seeker, Alex Borstein...if you've seen her movies (the lizzie mcguire movie and catwoman) you know she can portray that *in your face, annoying* aspect that the seeker has.

Ryan Reynolds would be an awesome Kyle and he's around the perfect age...Ryan is 32.

I notice that in the few Host fan made Trailers that I looked at people cast Jensen Ackles from Supernatural as Jared. I have never watched Supernatural but after his role as Alec in Dark Angel (with Jessica Alba) I can only picture him as maybe Kyle. He is REALLY good at being a jerk. (Oh and did I mention smokin' hot )



Also, he looks a bit like Cillian Murphy from Batman Begins, who might make a good Ian



I still like my original casting though

I think Josh Hucherson would make a good Jamie.



For Jared, I think that Chris Evans would be a good choice.
