Touch the Dark by Karen Chance . . . it's not completely about vampires, and it's not that good but it's alright. Mircea is pretty interesting.
Vampire Kisses by Ellen Screiber . . . it's alright, a bit limp, sometimes more like somones fanfiction that a real book, but anything that fills the void, right?
Cirque Du Freak is also awesome! I love Darren Shan . . . master of YA horror for me.
Omg my love!
You should totally read Vampire Diaries!
You're gonna fall in love with Stefan.
Well, he's nothing to Edward, but still!
Hahaha<3
I enjoyed the first 2books in that series.
I fell in love with Damon . . . haha. I won't spoil it but when he started talking to Elena and becoming more of a character he was so much more seductive and wonderful that Stefan - who was great in his own way - but I think Ljane Smith just writes her anti-heroes a lot better than her actual heroes.

Låt den rätte komma in (Let the Right One In) by John Ajvide Lindqvist

Possibly the best book I have ever read (as well as one of the best movies I have ever watched -- and yes, I'm putting this above Twilight, sorry guys.)

A beautiful love story, showing the struggles of a forgotten and bullied child, a vampire trapped in a twelve year old body. A fragile, anxious boy, 12-year-old Oskar is regularly bullied by his stronger classmates but never strikes back. The lonely boy's wish for a friend seems to come true when he meets Eli, also 12, who moves in next door to him with a man. A pale, serious young girl, she only comes out at night and doesn't seem affected by the freezing temperatures. Coinciding with Eli's arrival is a series of inexplicable disappearances and murders...it doesn't take long before he figures out that Eli is a vampire. But by now a subtle romance has blossomed between Oskar and Eli, and she gives him the strength to fight back against his aggressors. Oskar becomes increasingly aware of the tragic, inhuman dimension of Eli's plight, but cannot bring himself to forsake her. I recommend this book/movie to all those that wish it, please note that this follows the traditional vampire novels (Dracula --which really isn't fair because Dracula was hardly seen in the book--, Carmilla, etc, by being a horror love story. Please be aware of this when you read/watch this.)

The romance is very Twilight, but it is not the Revisionist vampires of Twilight, very Classical vampires (which of course means some graphic violence. Just warning for everyone.) Also, please note that it is in Swedish (does come with subtitles and there are translated books available.)

Cirque Du Freak! That's where its at. To me, the powers and abilities they have there are the closest to what they depict in Twilight. (Minus the sparkling in the sun part, of course. Because only Twivamps can do suck a thing.) I liked the series so much, I went to Thailand to purchase the last 3 books because I couldn't wait another few months to buy them in the US. :P
