Just because its not the best book doesn't mean its not a good book.
Lots of people think BD sucks.
Lots of people think Eragon sucks.
We don't really care. We like it anyways.
It is a good book, indepedent of your thinking it is not.
And I see lots of people with Brisingr. A lot.
Sadly, its also black, so if it werent so long (length wise, not pages total) I'd mistake it for a Twilight book.
And Brisingr got a midnight release in my town (my friends and I were the coolest looking people there, and thats saying a lot...)

And as for Eragon and Arya, mega rip off of Aragron and Arwen.
I want to force the Appendixes of LOTR under her nose.
So she'll get the picture.

Look, I was just offering my opinion. I found Eldest boring, you guys like it. I did like Eragon, I thought it was pretty good, but Eldest had me so bored I can't bring myself to read the next one. And I was just talking about my school and my community. I know people read the Eragon books. Just where I'm from, no one reads them, except for a few people. But everyone of every age of every clique of every gender is reading Twilight, so from my little perspective, it seems that overall the Twilight series is more popular. But I shouldn't have spoken for the rest of the world, sorry.
And I am aware of the Eragon/Arya rip off. I just didn't bring it up because I figured everyone would be mad enough at me.

*finds eragon thread* ooo didn't know this was here...
i'm honestly posting like a madwoman tonight
I ordered brinsingr before it came out and read it pretty much as soon as it arrived (shouldn't cos i had school work but i have no willpower) definately was rather shocked by the daddy revelation but happy cos it was good shock.
Also despise the film and hope to numerous deities that they don't even think about making eldest (which is probably impossible now due to the enormous crater they threw themselves into by leaving out most of eragon which is rather important to the other books)
I, myself also ranted a bit on the book to film adaptations thread :D
i know it may not be the best written book known to man but damn it i like it and i don't care if i can't pronounce lots of the elvish or dwarfish words i like the story it feeds my greedy imagination so i have something to think about when im tuning out of lessons.
blast it i can't stop ranting tonight- over- tiredness makes me grouchy and opinionated

I personally loved The series but I can see where debussygirl is coming from. And I do think he was acting like A fool with the Arya thing and with Vanir, I know 10 year olds that wouldn't have been as dumb as him but ach well lol. The series is on my favourite book shelf ( It was origionaly only for the HP series but After my normal bookshelf overflowed a few hundered times I decided to move my favourite series permanently onto it so now it has HP, the inheritance series and of Course the Twilight one) Back to the point - I really enjoyed the books but the movie was the biggest pile of ... uhhhh (can we swear on this site? )- I've ever seen. I hate it with every thing I have.

*SPOILER ALERT*

SPOILER ALERTTTTTTTTTTT (kinda, its more Eldest related, but still reveals stuffs...)

I had NO idea Roran and Katrina did the dirty in Eldest, so her being preggy in Brisingr WAS a shocker. I was again, expecting it, but not so soon! I thought it'd happen way later. Seriously, I didn't notice it at all when I read Eldest, so its was a "holy crap, how'd that happen?!?" thing. Did anyone else notice that? Anyone?
I swear, that was more subtle than SM...
Well I don't get how you didn't see the father thing was coming - I always knew it would and wanted it to , until halfway through Brisingr when I decided that it would be too perfect and what everyone wants.
and about the Katrina and Roran thing - I think she got pregnant on the journey to the varden. If they'd done it before she would have been far enough along for people to notice.

*Edit* ( about the post below ) If you mean literally the night the Ra'zac captured her, I considered that but i thought that surely they wouldn't do it in Horsts house when everyone could probobly hear them. But mabey they did - Yet i still think that she would have a pretty big bump when with the Varden, and wouldn't the baby have died whilst she was held captive, I can't imagine her getting the right protiens and vitamins to support herself - never mind a Foetus. < But that's just my view - You probobly are right : P

Well, actually, my friend and I went back and found the scene once we realized she was preggy.
I don't remember the page because I don't actually have Eldest, but its right before the Raz'ac come in and capture Katrina. And I didn't notice it at all. Weird.

I finally ordered Brisingr and now it's waiting for me at home... But first I have to finish reading the Twilight series for the fourth time (shouldn't take long, though, I'm already reading the battle scene in Eclipse...).

I should stop reading the spoilers and come back here when I've finished the book! :D

Just wanted to say that I preferred Eragon to Eldest. I'll let you knwo how I liked Brisingr (I'm pretty sure I won't like it as much as Twilight  )!

I just searched for it then, and if I found the right scene, the only thing it says is that she comes into the room and he thinks Katrina.

Breaking Dawn is obscene compared to that.

No, but in the next chapter, she's in bed with him. I'll go look it up if we need proof.

Hahaha! I thought that he woke up and saw her dragged out of her own room? Or down the hall? I'll find out next time I read them anyway lol.

I don't think we need proof, you are probobly right.

*Possible Spoiler Here*

Who do you think is gonna be the next rider?

*SPOILER!!!*

Katroran baby! Its obvious! (and it'd be cute)

I still can't believe I didn't notice that the first time around... it must be because I have more hormones now.... and dirty minded friends...
