Milk Tea...can't say I've heard of it, but it might be some milk-tea mix kind of like Frappuccino is for coffee and other flavors?

If you haven't heard of Milk Tea, then here's one to REALLY throw you: Bubble Tea! (AWESOME stuff! Bit of an acquired taste, but still good.)

Bubble Tea (and Bubble Milk, which is sometimes sold as a separate entity, other times used as an interchangeable name for the product) is basically iced tea (or milk) mixed with a flavoring agent and tapioca balls. It's not your mother's tapioca, so get the white pebbly stuff out of your head--this is just the base rice paste. And it's still just rock-your-world awesome, though I could be a bit biased there. Personal favorite flavors are honeydew melon and pineapple-coconut.

Omygod.
Did you just mention... bubble tea?
Omfrack, those things are amazing!
I think Bubble Tea and Milk Tea are just the same.
They're Boba, right?

And yes! I love those tapioca pearls!
They are so gummy<3
I love chewing on them (:

Oh, and Milk Tea is just tea mixed with condensed milk.
It's really good, not that sweet, although it depends on how much condensed milk you put on the tea.

I usually buy my Milk Tea and those other 'Pearl Drinks' at either Quickly's or Tapioca Express.
They have amazing stuff there. Mmmh.

I freakin' LOVE tapioca milk tea. Been drinking that stuff for years... YUM! every once in a while I get a craving and have to go to a tea bar or something. there's some good places not too far from my work, too. TONS of different flavors. :D

1.) Why, yes! Yes, I did! :D
2.) Yes, yes they are!
3.) As I understand it, yes; I was introduced to it by the Chinese exchange student whose apartment we were subleasing a few summers ago. Best part of the arrangement, IMHO.

There's only a couple places here that sell Bubble Tea/Milk. Back when we lived in Illinois, there was a Bubble-Tea Bar (or cafe, if you will; I don't think I ever got an official name) not too far from our sublease. Around the corner from that was a cheap (but good!) rental place and a chocolaterie. An honest-to-Gods chocolaterie.

Talk about having it MADE! If only we had that here!

I went to Stratford-Upon-Avon and had real English Breakfast tea. It is my most favorite thing to drink on a rainy day, or early morning, or late at night. Really anytime.

I heard about an ice cream place in San Francisco where all of their ice cream is made from tea extracts. So they have like earl grey ice cream. And they serve it in tea cups. Pretty awesome.

I used to drink hot tea with milk when I was little. I outgrew my taste for it. I can't drink coffee because it gives me headaches. I've tried decaf, still no luck. It's awful because coffee smells so good! Everyone drinks coffee to help them stay up or give them that little boost of energy, but I just walk around tired. I'm usually the one carrying a Coca Cola can. If I get really desperate, I use it as a coffee substitute, but I need to watch how much Coke I drink- I get headaches if I drink too much canned cola.

Does and frappicino count as coffee, I think it does so both. I drink sweet tea mainly because normal tea sometimes makes me sick.
