Man, you don't know how long I've been avoiding this thread and dying to post in it. I was waiting until I had completely read both The Hunger Games and Catching Fire.

My heart almost stopped when I read the last line of the second book because I thought it was going to be one of those psycological thrillers where Katniss is really just mentally unstable the entire time and making all these things up. *twitch*

Wow. This thread is DEAD.

Only 32 days until Mockingjay comes out!!! I am so excited to find out how this series ends!!

So I have a question & hopefully someone here can help. Someone posted this really cool banner on the HG facebook page. But for the life of me I can't remember what scene this is. If anyone remembers/or knows I'd appreciate it.

Banner Quote: It is one of of the roof scenes with Katniss and Peeta.

So, as we wait for Mockingjay, does anyone have any predictions?
I'm assuming that if you are reading this thread that you've read both Hunger Games and Catching Fire.
The sad (and scary) part is that I'm just not sure what will happen. I am so frightened that President Snow has Peeta and that he will do terrible things to him. That is the main thought that overshadows all other considerations. I do want to get confirmation about what area was destroyed at the end of the book, but all that pales to what might happen to the long-suffering Peeta. Unlike other books, where I can predict that, whatever horrible things will happen, that the lovebirds will end up together, in this series I'm not so sure it'll work out.

Yay thanks to those who made this thread active again.

I can't wait for Mockingjay either!

Spoiler ahead:

I want to know what happened to Peeta and I'm quite excited to learn what really happens on district 13 and the rebellion that would be sure to happen. I'm sure Haymitch and the rest of those who survive from district 13 have massive plans on how to overthrow President Snow and the Capitol. There's bound to be lots of new character to be named. And I hope Katniss and Peeta get their happily ever after ending.

End of spoiler

According to Mockingjay.net The 3rd installment of The Hunger Games starts with SPOILER: It begins with Katniss looking at the ashes of her home in District 12.
