Hi there!

I got a good lot done yesterday, but still have more to do on that book for Rochelle. It's a tricky one because it has lots of foreign words in it and knowing whether to do things like italicise or capitalise can be tricky. I think I've got it right now.

I've just got grocery shopping and a few bits and pieces to do today.

Hi everyone.

We have a new, larger refrigerator at home and I had some McDonalds for dinner, and I got my owl pictures my mom wanted to give me yesterday. Other than that, my day hasn't really been that exciting, though I had a very productive day at work. I got done with my weekly tasks today so I don't have to worry about them the rest of the week.

I'll probably spend tonight resting up and doing some reading and such. That's about all I have planned right now.

EDIT: Barn owl album complete:

I'll be back later :)

Boy, it's quiet here. Just Sean and I trading posts.

I'm working for Rochelle again today. I'm hoping to get that book I've been working on finished for her. I think I will. I've only got about 100 more pages or so. Maybe a couple of hours work? We'll see.

My new manuscript is going well. I don't think it's going to be very long, though. I'll be lucky if I make it to 50,000 words. I'll try to get there, as anything shorter than that is more of a novella. Hopefully it will lengthen when I get into it. Sometimes it's hard to estimate exactly how long some scenes will take.

Hi everyone.

I called off work today because I wasn't feeling well. I hardly slept last night and felt sick and out of it all day to the point where I was in bed until about an hour ago. Hopefully I'll be going back to work tomorrow.

So, obviously, I haven't done much. I'm just trying to recuperate and get my strength back.

I'll be back later :)

Where is everyone????

Today I'm going to go hunting for a book signing again. I'm trying a few bookstores. We'll see if I have any more luck today. I'm not holding out much hope. *sigh* It's hard being an author!

I hope the book I'm working on at the moment will be accepted by Rochelle. I am worrying about that because what little romance there is (and there's not much) doesn't go the way you'd expect. I don't know if she's going to like that.

Hi everyone.

I got home after work, stayed up for a couple of hours, and went to sleep until about a half hour ago.

I don't have too many plans for tonight, since I'm still not 100%. But tomorrow night I plan on working on fan fic and such. I'm feeling a lot better than yesterday, but I'm still a bit off.

I'll be back later :)

Everyone else must be on holidays.

I didn't have too much luck with the bookstores yesterday, although all is not lost. When I went into the first one I found out the that manager is away at the moment and they gave me a phone number, not an email, so I can call her next week when she gets back. That's better than last time, but I'm trying not to get too excited. The second bookstore I tried doesn't seem to exist anymore. I couldn't find it, anyway. The third one is a kids' bookstore. I'm pretty sure I spoke to them via email when The Heir came out and they don't have a lot of YA books. They have them mainly for younger kids. They're also behind a big hardware store so I can't imagine they get a lot of through traffic. There wasn't a lot of room either, so I didn't tell them who I was. I might recommend them to Sally, one of our employees, and maybe if she wants to do a group thing with a few authors I can tag along then, but I don't think there's going to be much response if I go there.

Hey all,

Sorry it's been a few days! My sister and niece flew in Sunday afternoon and I've been spending every minute I can with them. They left my parents house today to go see my sister's mother in law and fly home tomorrow. They don't come up that often, hence my absence :)

Monday was my birthday and we went to the zoo as a family, the weather was gorgeous and I loved it. My niece is now 4 years old and has a lot of energy, so I spent a lot of time trying to entertain her. She's such a cutie! Yesterday was also our wedding anniversary, so Jason and I went out to dinner to celebrate. Next weekend we're heading back to Forks to stay in a cabin in the woods, which is the closest I'll get to camping, but I'm glad we'll get another little get away before the summer is over.

Lynne-It's good you're making strides at continuing to get your books out there. What's your newest book about? That book you're editing sounds kinda interesting!

Hi everyone.

I haven't been up to too much so far today. I stayed up in the morning and went to sleep at around 11:30 and got up at around 9:00 tonight. Depending on how things work out, I might touch up my fan fic a bit before turning in, but I'm more likely to make some taco salad, watch some stuff on You Tube, and do some dishes before I go back to sleep.

Other than that, I don't really have much in the way of plans for tonight. At least I'm feeling normal for once this week.

I'll be back later :)

Today we are going to what we call the Ekka. It's kind of a great big state fair. We really enjoy going. We normally go later in the week, but the weather looks like it's going to turn bad, so we'll go today instead.

Sarah - you're going to Forks. Lucky you! I'm glad you're enjoying time with your relatives. The new book I'm working on is a contemporary novel which tells the story of a girl in her gap year after school. She goes to Sydney to live for a year and works down there but is one day caught up in a hostage drama that changes her life. To move on, she has to find a way to forgive the men involved, or at least, one of them in particular.
