Hey all,

Quieter day today, regrouping after yesterday, and looking at other houses now. We browsed appliances and talked through stuff we want for the new place, as well as things we want to get rid of here. It amazes me how much extra unneeded stuff we have!

Lynne-Jason's family dynamic is weird and the divorce is just one layer of it, so I never know what sort of gathering we'll have. We don't often get the whole family together though. I'm so glad you went to cricket, how did LM react to you being there?

Morning!

Work went well yesterday. I had one stuff up but it wasn't entirely my fault, and it was a stressful day, but one customer I'd done a sample edit for has accepted our offer, which is great, as it means I should have productive work to do on Thursday and Friday! :D

Sarah - Little Man was happy I turned up and we heard no more about me not going. It will be interesting to see how he reacts the next time I'm going. I'm doubly glad things went okay with Jason's family. Family can definitely be tricky!

Hi everyone.

Happy International Women's Day :)

Today for me, I have a doctor's appointment, possibly run to an electronics store to look at laptops, drop off stuff at the library and get a book there, too. I'm also going to try and find a way to enjoy this weather today.

I'll be back later :)

I've been hearing a lot about International Women's Day. I'm glad people are celebrating it. I'd like to think it could make a difference to people, but I don't know. Hopefully it will. Thanks for the acknowledgement, Sean! :D

Today's a fairly quiet day. I might even get some more writing done! Yesterday was bedlam, mainly because it was an already busy day and I decided to make some hot cross buns as well. Unfortunately, they spread more than they rose. I don't know why because I followed the instructions the same way I always did.

Hey all,

Not much going on around here, beyond work :) I've been cooking and baking a lot and looking at houses. I'm happy to see we still have some cute options available even though we missed out on the house we really wanted.

Lynne-I love quiet days! I miss them :) Hot cross buns sound delicious.

Hey there!

My hot cross buns didn't quite work. I don't know why; I followed the directions to the letter, as I always do. They just didn't really rise properly. Never mind. They didn't taste too bad. Hopefully the next batch will be better.

I'm back at work today and should have an editing job to do. I hope so. I also hope the book hasn't got too many things in it I find difficult. I know it's got some profanity, for example. It's a murder mystery and I'm hoping the violence level is low. Hopefully no graphic sex scenes either.

I'm also going to a book event tonight at Wynnum at my favourite bookstore, Little Gnome. A lot of the shops down there are going to be open tonight so I'm hoping I'll sell some copies.

Sarah - Quiet days are good! I don't have a lot of them at the moment. Hopefully you'll find a house just as cute as the last one. :)

Hey all,

Nothing new here! Work and housework, just life. Thankfully this weekend I'm having a girls night with one of my best friends and then have a pre-St. Patrick's Day party on Saturday with Jason's cousins. We're also looking at houses as well, all fun stuff!

Lynne-How'd the book signing go? I have the same standards when it comes to books so I hope it's not too bad for you.

Morning!

I sold three copies of The Heir at Little Gnome on Thursday night, and they wanted another full set of the trilogy so I effectively sold six copies altogether, which is good. :)

Today Little Man has cricket again, and I'm hoping to have a rest while he's out, as I'm feeling exhausted. It's another busy weekend, with yet another busy one next weekend! However, next weekend is the last one of cricket until October, so things should quieten down a little after that.

Sarah - enjoy your girls' night! :)

Hey all,

This weekend hasn't gone like I thought at all! I ended up feeling a bit sick/run down yesterday so I cancelled on my friend, just to be safe. My boss felt the same way I did earlier in the week and ended up getting the flu, poor thing. Thankfully I feel fine today so we were able to go look at houses still and found one we actually love more than the other one. I so hope this one comes through for us!

Lynne-I'm so glad the book signing went well :) Hope you had a restful weekend!

Hey there!

We had a nice weekend and I managed to recharge. Also got Hubby to watch Life with me. He seemed to enjoy it, although as soon as he saw Rob was in it, he said, 'Have you seen this?'. I confessed it was the one I saw with Karena at the cinema. He seemed to enjoy it, so that was something.

I have work to day and at least now I have an editing job to do. Two, actually. I'll have to do them progressively.

Sarah - I hope you don't get whatever your boss had and I'm glad you found a new place. Hopefully no one will get in before you.
