Mike was the same for me as Kellan. When I found out Mike was casted, I could actually picture him as Mike. It was awesome. Plus, he seems so nice in his Myspace blogs. =)
I'm excited to see his acting!

he looks like a great mike! the only thing that kinda freaked me out was when i found out what he used to be in! i watched the joan of arcadia series and in that he was dorky younger brother with glasses that was in the science fair. definitely not very mike newton ish. but now he doesn't look like that at all! i thought it was sooo weird!

totally, he definitely will pull of Mike Newton. Plus he just looks like the type of kid who would be in a small town & a jock *not that im stereotyping hehe*

Exactly how I pictured Mike. He does look very lively, and like he has a golden retriever personality. Good choice.

Michael Welch is the Mike Newton that stepped out of my head. I nearly fell out of my chair when I saw he was cast as Mike. I felt like I was having deja vu.
He's a pretty good actor. I've seen him in an episode of Law & Order: SVU and Day of the Dead. That's it. But I don't think it will be that hard for him to play Mike at all. Michael has the same exact personality as Mike.

Mike, its funny how his real name is Mike and he's playing Mike, Irony. Lol but, yeah he's cute! I think he'll do a good job.

He's so perfect for mike! i have to admit that i was surprised when i first saw mike welch, because it made me realize that the mike newton i had been thinking in my head this whole time was some dorky, nerdy, 12 year old looking kid with super short "executive" hair (where its all spiky at the top & buzzed on the sides).

I felt EXACTLY LIKE THAT when I saw he was cast as Mike...it was basically exactly my vision of Mike. Kinda creepy!
