Who in your life is most like Carlisle and why? Ahhh, hmm this is a toughie! I guess my English teacher actually. He's very kind and knowledgable like Carlisle, and he accepts everyone. He's really cool. Except while Carlisle is a doctor, my teacher heals through music.

Who in your life is most like Carlisle and why?

Well, I would say my little brother! I know, I know, shocking! He's not exxactly worldly and intelligent, but he's kind and he cares for anyone who needs it, and though he has a temper, he's the closest to Carlisle I have!

I think we're the only two on here....besides our new member anyways...I would say it's safe to change the question...?

I would have to say my father. He is the most loving, accepting, protective man that I know. He has that kind of quiet strength that just makes him a downright good man. And, he never minded having a tomboy for a little girl.

When Carlisle found Esme, do you think he ever may have wanted a few years just to themselves?

Well, hmmmmm.... I think they might have taken the time to themselves that they needed at different parts of their lives. I mean, when Carlisle turned Esme, I have a feeling he was greatful for Edward's help, particularly with Edward's abilities. But, yes, I imagine that, once she passed the newborn years, they escaped often for alone time as often as they wanted. I mean, it wasn't like they were leaving infants or unruly teenagers at home, was it? So, yes, they probably wanted it. But, I also think they took it.

So, I was thinking this morning about Carlisle and Edward and Bella. During my musings, something occured to me and I want to get some folks opinions about this.

Knowing what we know about the newborn phase and how Carlisle was as a newborn, do you think it is possible that Carlisle did in fact have a "gift" and that it was the kind of enhanced super self control that people often discuss in relation to Bella?
