I will post with you Saturday afternoon!

But in that way Edward was really similar to Romeo. You'd think he would have made sure Bella was dead too. But no, he had to believe Rosalie and Jacob of all people (not that I have anything against Rosalie or Jacob but they were not the most supportive of the relationship at the time) and he jumped to the conclusion that Bella actually died from the fall. What amount of time or trouble would it have cost him to go back to Forks and at least put some flowers on her grave or something? Or get the info directly from the source, Alice? He had time to pull of the whole theatrics of revealing himself under the clock tower at noon. (sorry about that, end of rant)smitten_by_twilight wrote:I have always found Romeo and Juliet frustrating - I'm with Edward on that one! You'd think that he could have waited, and made super-sure she was really dead first, before stabbing himself. What an idiot! IMHO
Now I can see that too, especially the detective novels. Maybe some chick lits too, like the Shopaholic series. Maybe she learned something from that, although the Cullens will probably never have problems with money.Openhome wrote:I can totally see Alice loving corny romances and detective novels.
That's a pretty good question too. What did Alice do when she was waiting around for Jasper? You think she met some other vampires or tried to interact with humans? I don't think she is capable of hiding away somewhere and do nothing.smitten_by_twilight wrote:She had plenty of time to read while waiting for Jasper to show up in Philadelphia, although she may have stayed busy otherwise.

On the topic of reading and otherwise staying busy, I'm really enjoying Openhome's Alice fanfiction (Singularity at fanfiction.net). Very readable, IMHO. Great way to keep my mind busy while waiting for November.Suzan wrote:That's a pretty good question too.smitten_by_twilight wrote:She had plenty of time to read while waiting for Jasper to show up in Philadelphia, although she may have stayed busy otherwise.
Wow, I just responded to Alice over on another thread, and I was thinking what to get Edward ... hm, I've got this Celebrity Chef bit on my signature line since forever ... what about a cake, Alice did such a cute one for Bella ... but vampires don't eat cake ... so I was totally ready forSuzan wrote:Maybe the ultimate birthday cake or something?
ha ha! Alice fans, thinking alike! I'm thinking cake themes, like local favorites (mt lion, polar bears) versus new and exotic flavors (African lion, cheetah), possibly accompanied by plane tickets for Edward and Bella. Would they want Renesmee, and thus Jacob, to come along, or have a second honeymoon? The cake would merely be symbolic ... how about a drawing that kind of shows the predators all mashed together in a cake outline, do you know what I mean? This could be a lot of fun!Openhome wrote:We could have lions and tigers and bears sticking out of it!
