its not just the slanted eyes...they have flatter cheek bones and the way their mouths are formed...you cannot change that history...and mexican indians are very different from american indians...I promise...do a little bit of research and you'll find that I'm not lying or just judging based on my opinions...I've done extensive research on this

i'm not debating that they may have been descended frm asian ancestors. i'm just saying i dont think the 2 ethnicities look alike (NOW the year 2009) just because they may have slanted eyes and black hair.

I think we are going to have to agree to disagree on this one...I'm only saying they have similar characteristics...no those two girls don't resemble each other but if you look at the cheekbone structure and the mouth you can see similarities...and those are only 2 examples...but I respect you opinion

i respect ur opinion also. really i'm not trying to argue. i was just trying to say that if they hired someone for the part of leah that was asian, (i have nothing against asians) who didnt look native american and said "oh she has slanted eyes so she can pass as native american", i dont think it would be right. but i understand wat ur saying.

i agree they may have similarities but the 2 ethnicities are different. asians are asians & natives are natives.

oh no I definitely get that part but there are some asians that really could pass for native american...I think as long as they get the best actor for the job that could pass as native american its okay with me...I'd rather them hire natives if possible but with this short of notice I don't know how possible its going to be...

^ I don't mean to join in this argument but can't help it, haha. I happen to be asian as well. I think there are SOME asians that can pull of native american, but I always thought they'd be the tanner ones with big eyes.

As for Jane and Alec, hollywood is known for casting actors who are much older than the character they're playing. (Robert is a 22 playing a 17 year old, for example.) So I still support Emily Browning as Jane.

Yup, I agree. I mean I was reading the bio thingy of Jane & they said she had a little girl face & full lips. umm yeah, I can see Emily Browning as Jane!!

Also just thought id say that Id hate to see vanessa hudgens as leah. I know thats just a rumor, but if she gets the part... I dont even know. I dont think she'd fit well at all.
