Telling Who I Am

How did you pick your screen name?
My mother gave it to me.
How did you come to read Twilight and which book is your favourite?
My eleven year old granddaughter (my husband and I are raising her) brought it home from her school’s book fair. After she finished reading it the book sat on top of a bookcase for several weeks. One day I caught me eye and I began reading it. I completely enjoyed Twilight so I secured copies of NM, E, and BD. The rest, as they say, is history I really don’t have a favourite. It takes all four books to tell the story.
Who do you like best: Edward, Bella, or Jacob?
Oh, I am Switzerland. There would be no story without all three characters. If I was forced to choose it would probably be Jacob. I like his sense of humour and that he does not have to feel perfect to find worth in himself.
Who is your favourite minor character?
Seth, by fair, is my favourite character, but Alice is a delight, and I understand Rosalie.
What are your hobbies?
I really don’t believe that I have any. I find great pleasure in my granddaughter and her activities, which keeps us all more than busy.
Where are you from (general area like Montana, not exact town!)
Started life up north, been in Texas for 31 years.
How old are you? (In general, like teen, 20's, 30's, 40's etc)
Sixty-four (don’t panic, old age isn’t catching; you all will be fine with me around).
Anything else you would like to share.
I married my Jacob, so I feel like I understand Bella, her choices, her failure and/or success. Her fictional life is great reading and quite interesting to me, almost familiar. I come from a different “world” than most of you. I have the outlook and values of the late 40’s, the 50’s, and very early 60’s, before hippies and free love.
