Screen Name: my favorite book series before Twilight were Pern series by Anne McCaffery and Witch World by Andre Norton. My screen name is made from aspects of both. Weyr is a dragon's home in the Pern books. A number of leading ladies in Witch World started off in an Abbey. Add in my religious nature for Abby being short for Abigail which means Father of rejoicing. Rejoicing is a goal of mine.
start reading Twilight: One night at a women's church group meeting in January 2010 some women were talking about Twilight. I'd heard about it, knew movies were out, but I'm not into vampires, horror, romance so I wasn't interested in teen novel. Hearing women closer to my age talking about it got me curious enough to ask to borrow Twilight. Have not stopped reading some part of the story or fan fiction on a daily basis since.
favorite book: I like all of them. There are particular parts in each book that are favorites.
favorite of E,B,J: I like all three equally.
favorite minor character: Emmett
hobbies: reading, hiking, photography, use to do needlework but hands can't handle needles anymore. I read mostly mystery and science fiction / fantasy. Though it has only been last month that I've started reading something other than Twilight.
where from: currently reside in San Francisco Bay Area. Grew up daughter of USAF dad and moved around, then after college I joined up and moved around some more. Finally settled here.
I'm in my 60's
I've read most of the stories on Ramblings and Thoughts and thought I'd try out the forums for something new and Twilight related.
