Ana!!! I'm so indescribably sorry for mixing you up with Sonia! All I can say in my defense is that I am one of those who will ever manage without the namelist, and I don't have it at work. *grovels at Ana's feet, along with all of the pack, who are also doing puppy-dog eyes...*

I'm in Turku now. Didn't get any writing done on the boat, but I read about 45 pages worth of fanfiction. I copy/pasted it into a pdf last night, I love it! It's hot werewolf lovin (go figures) and it sure makes my tail tingle... I am now off to check fb and msn, see you all there!

Oh, new twiguy, welcome! Misty, that would mean you're no longer oldest (she falls of the wagon in august, I refuse to let her go) I'm Ninna, 25 from Finland. Hope you like it here!

Misty, you and Sam are of the same opinion when it comes to me being evil  LMAO!!!

The deer was good. :P Too good. I ate way too much. I was scared my stomach was gonna get sick for it. But thankfully no. And I made too much of it. I already ate it for supper too and my daughter too. Maybe after hubs eats too, the rest is going to fit in the fridge. My boys don't like deer at all. I guess it's just not their kind of prey. 8-) I've eaten deer all the way through my childhood; about 10 times a year for dinner in different forms and as 'beef turkey' for a snack. That's raw meat that's been salted and dryed hanging outside in the spring weather for couple of months. That's especially delicious if it's made with meat that has blood in it; the heart is the best bit. OK, NOW I sound like a savage...

Pharmer, nice to get another Twiguy. =) I don't mind if you hang around after turning 30. In the previous thread there was talk amongst the older Lexily, that we're not going to leave here just because we turn 30. We can't just one (birth)day say goodbye to our lovely lexily and jump to Gen X. I'm sure you'll fit right in. You seem like a nice guy and your double life sounds interesting. When do you sleep? =)
Sorry about your cat...
Oh; I'm Maria from Finland. I've got three kids, a common-law-husband and a morgage...

Kiella, sorry about the ogre giving you new project on a friday. How rude og him/her... *shakes head in disbelieve* We miss you too. I hope you'll get a chance to make a proper post later. I know how urging it can feel..

Sonia, I didn't get much cleaning done so no lazy saturday for me. *whistle* My little drama queen came home from school and pulled a two hour show with me. *deep sigh* That kinda drained me.. Another try tomorrow....
I hope you're having a fun night partying. =) Sounds like a difficult situation, choosing between three parties. Maybe you can just skip to the next one if you'll get bored. *whistles*

Jasmine, Great news on your cat! I'm holding my fingers crossed for him! =) Cute story about your cats.

Handbags: Am I the only one not obssessed with bags and shoes? *jaw hits the ground* I've always had just one bag until it has fallen apart. *giggles* Well not quite, but not far from it. Now I've got three bags since my sister gave me few of her cute denim bags. I've never liked spending much money.. I guess it's due to not having essex money very often.. I can absolutely see how I could turn into a shoppaholic if things changed..

Becca, I'm happy you had a nice night out. =) And how cute was your friend's boyfriend (the current). Lovely things he said to her. No wonder she fell for him.
BTW, Love you new sig too. =) Misty is a real artist! I'd ask her to do one for me too if I wasn't having so much fun doing my own crappy ones. LOL

Megan, Thanks! *blush* I didn't actually mean to make a new sig. I was thinking how to do a Lexily-text that I could print on a T shirt.. Didn't really workout, but it's a cute sig. I had this crazy idea that maybe we could (or Misty could?) make a little banner that we can all take to a printer shop and print on a t-shirt. =) Now I realize the Dorquettes have kinda similar thing. We could do it on baseball-shirts! =) How cool would that be?!

Njaah, I'm a slow replyer tonight.. Two more pages came while writing this... Why was I watching Stargate Atlantis on the right side of the screen while trying to read your posts and reply properly.. *eyeroll* OK, now I'm done.. *sigh* everybody's so fast here. And after I post everyone stops posting. Go figure.. Everytime I've got time to hang around and really chat with you all, you disapper! Bummer... But I do Luv ya all!

I'm finally done w/ my classes and club meetings for the day! It is officially the weekend for me, which means time to catch up:

Pharmer4 Welcome! It is always nice to have a new twi-guy around. I'm Ally, 20, South Carolina. :D

Jasmine I really glad Loki is going to be okay. Hopefully he will be back home soon!

Becca Good Luck being a witness at the court case. Also I loved the song you posted, it was nice and relaxing.

Well next week is Homecoming week for my college and being a sub-committee chair for the Homecoming Committee I'm now in super drive mode. I get to spend my weekend doing hw and homecoming errands for the event I, for the most part, had to plan alone :| My event (a special dinner in our campus cafeteria) is on wednesday, so all the stress is going to be gone soon :D I'm excited to actually enjoy the events I don't have to run: My friends in the talent show and we are have a 1920's themed party the night before the big game. Hopefully all our hard work will provide us w/ some fun time.
Also, having been working in the Clubs & Organizations office on campus for homecoming I've come to realize that office is hoarding many of the cute guys on campus. I might have to spend some more time there ;) hahaha

Weve just watched 'be kind, rewind' , and i totally have gotten inspiration because of it. Im gonna tell my friends about the movie, and hopefully get the same idea that i got. I wanna do that 2! I think it would be so much fun!
Anyway for anyone who hasnt seen it: 2 guys accidently erase all the videos in a videorental, and decide to remake the movies by theirselves. Creating hilarious movies everyone wants to watch.

Hmmm hubby just put on regular tv and we found ourselves in a brittish documentary about what ppl are being taught about being attractive and such. They were showing some teenage boys pics of breasts and they had to say which were the best/perfect ones. They al choose the same picture and then the documentary stated that these were fake and thats what guys are being taught to find attractive. Well, i was immidiately annoyed, because ...well...that pic of breasts resembled mine perfectly.. (just a normal round c cup). So what they said basicly was, that no woman could have such breast without surgery. And hubby said ''well that is an insult for you. as if woman cant have beautifull breasts without surgery, how stupid'. *shakes her head*. Sometimes programs on tv really are very stupid

Wow! I quit at about 2am and I come back and there's three more pages we do move fast.

Ana- I am so so sorry about mixing you up with Sonia. *hugs* I hope everything gets better and you are able to sleep better.

Velvet Voice- No problem. I understand it happens. Oh and I am always willing to share the love vibes :) .

pharmer4- Welcome to Gen Y. I am Amber/Bells and I am 24 years old. I hope you enjoy it here. Yay! Another Twi-guy.

Honey- I know I can't believe it took me so long to finally read the books  . Thank you for the correction.

CiaoBella- Sorry about your week. I hope you get some down time soon.

jasmine- it's good to hear that Loki is on the mend. I think that was a nice story about Odin and Loki.

Dazzled_by_Cullens- The cake was good. I would share with you if I could. Yeah, I didn't like the whole dead Denny being around thing. I am really glad he hasn't been around the past couple of episodes.

Sarah- I agree I wish Giselle had been wearing a costume like the others were instead of her modern dress.

I think 'tis all for now. Oh wait so far for the weekend tonight I am going to see Madea goes to Jail I think that's the title and then tomorrow I imagine I shall be seeing the boyfriend plus going to the APPC party online here or actually at the APPC website. Sunday I shall be having Sunday dinner with my boyfriend and parents and then the bf and I will watch Bull Riding on Versus.

YAY! :D I just checked my town's theater and looks like I'm going to see Twilight in theater this weekend! FINALLY! *makes a wild victorydance* I've been checking the theater's site religiously for weeks now; after realizing I missed the original showing on my birthday. Thank God, they're having a second showing! :D I can't wait to see it in the right way. I have been naughty and checked the alien-green torrent... But with good concious of course; since I was still gonna see it in theater and I'm in the mailing list for two of my favorite online stores for the DVD... I'll have to compare which has a better version :D

Thanks all for the welcome guys. I'm trying to get my wife to join up too - she got me into Twilight - one of the many things I am thankful to her for.

Is there a way to get the list you speak of there?
BellsEdwardalways wrote:tonight I am going to see Madea goes to Jail I think that's the title
is that based on the Medea from the ancient Greek legens (she appears in a few, such as Jason and the Argonauts) - she killed her own children to spite Jason for leaving her (they were his kids too). There is a great song about her called "The Black Medea", by a band called "Black Like Vengeance", but it is death metal, so perhaps you may not appreciate it (maybe, but I assume metal is a genre who's popularity is in the minority on this board).
Dazzled_by_Cullens wrote:Random topic: Ok so out of curiosity how many of you guys have tattoos? I have two. I have a shamrock and a butterfly and I really want 2 more, but we shall see. Just wondering???
Arrr, one of my favourite topics!!!

I have 5 (well, 4, because two of them are a mirror image of each other with a few differences) and I am getting a Koi on my right shoulder next saturday.

you can see my tattoos (both finished and in progress) on my flickr account - http://www.flickr.com/photos/26181870@N ... 964129849/

I will explain a few
The one on my back (the skull with the banner and guitar heads and burning drum sticks) is the logo of my website. I live for all types of music, but mainly metal.

The burning match on my wrist signifies the fact that small things cause big trouble - in my case, when I was about 5 years old, a week after my new-born sister died of complications from a malformed heart, I was playing with matches and set my little brother's bedroom on fire. Could have been such a worse week for my family if the flames had not been seen . . .

The infinity symbol in black field represents forever, and is for my kids. The infinity symbol also glows under UV light.

The feet are also for my kids. They represent protection, in life, and in death. They are a skull with a winged helmet (the original artwork can be found in that flickr link), and a woman's face with the same helmet - the woman's face was done freehand by my tattooist.

The feet have yet to be finished.

There is more to come as well. The one I am having done this saturday is the start of a water-themed sleeve on my right arm, featuring Koi (Goldfish). One will be transforming into a dragon.

The water theme on my right will be capped off with a large sea-horse on my right flank. This represents my oldest daughter. She is an aquarian (the water theme), and was born in the chinese year of the horse - hence a sea horse.

The left side of my body will represent my other daughter, and will be themed around fire. The left arm will have a phoenix and a dragon, although I won't have them at odds (ie fighting), but in unison, representing strength for my family.

The left flank will consist of a Lamasuu - I don't expect many people to know what this is. Her starsign is Taurus (Bull), and she was born in the chinese year of the rooster. So, a Lamasuu (which is from Babylonian mythology) is a winged bull, similar in idea to a pegasus being a winged horse.

To top it all off, I will get a chest piece consisting of a heart that is either locked in something, with light radiating out, or it will have three padlocks embedded in it - representing my wife and two kids - the only ones who can unluck my heart (that seems a little corny, but hey, that's the way I feel about my family). There will be three keys included in the artwork - one between the seahorse and the heart, with the key mechanism in the shape of the first letter of my eldest daughter's name. The left key will be between the lamasuu and the heart, and the mechanism of this one will be in the shape of the first letter of her name.

There will also be a key over the heart, with the mechanism in the shape of the first letter of my wifes name, and the decorative end will be a claddagh symbol (Irish people and Buffy fans will recognise this symbol, and it's meaning).

There will be others for my legs (I intend to be very covered in the areas not visible at work), but since the lot I just described will take so long, I'll plan those much later (I'm thinking a werewolf on one leg, and a vampire on the other - these are mythological strengths I have felt an affinity with for a very long time; one of the things drawing me to Twilight).

gees - that was long. yet more to come too . . .

Tabs wrote:Pharmer4, welcome to the Gen Y lexily. It's great to have another Twiguy, and especially one from Aus. Oh, I forgot to introduce myself. :) I'm Tabitha, I'm 28 and I live in Perth, Western Australia. Although I'm moving to LA for a year in about five weeks. Whooooo! I'm a medical student here, and I was really interested when I read about the asthma program thing you were talking about. I didn't know they were doing anything like that? You'll have to tell me about it. (If that's ok)
Thanks for the welcome Tabs. Glad to find others in the medical field here too, especially aussies. I personally made a very early decision not to go into Medicine, as I had always planned on having my family early. Even though being a pharmacist is important to me, my family comes first; medicine needs a bigger commitment of time than I could give it.

On to the asthma programme - firstly, it is only occuring in NSW, Vic, and QLD. It is similar to the Diabetes Management Assistance Service, which is in second-stage trials now, and I believe these trials are Australia wide.

The point is to attempt to increase a patients understanding of their condition; the end point being increased knowledge about your condition increases your compliance with treatment, and ability to adjust to symptoms as needed, which increases your health and reduces the overall cost to the health system. I do three appointments over 6 months, while they still see their doctors, asthma educator (if available), etc - it's all collaborative as far as emparting knowledge goes. I also get them to do some spirometry test, which is great, since I specialised in Asthma care at Uni, and until now, have had little chance to utilise these skills.

So, there you go, hope I didn't miss any specific responses to me.

Jasmine, I know you asked me here what metal bands I like - I suggest you check back in the metal thread, and while there, don't be intimidated by the young girl Camber - she seems to be one of those people more interested in the image of being a metal fan, more than really appreciating the music, which is always a shame. Hopefully she proves me wrong!!!

I guess I really have a lot to say, cause I'm still not done.

The last thing I wanted to chat about was my house - It's all rolling along well, with the building inspection coming in today, with only very very minor issues (things like some tiling needing to be extended, some waterproof sealing going in) - the pest inspection is all good. Finance is all good. The price has been agreed upon. It's now all down to the lawyers. Hooray for the lawyers (and I'm being sincere!!!)

I will reply better when I have the stationary again, my 10" screen isn't ideal for lexing.... and tab-surfing is hard with a touchscreen....

Pharmer4: get your wife to join! We love couples here (currently we have one; SenorGimp and Buffygrl3, but since he's home/internet connection less right now, they're kinda quiet. I am the big bad name-list boss (if I can only remember when i last posted it...) so, please PM me your birthday and what name we should call you (usernames can get so long) and what's your first language (though I'm guessing english)

I lost my tragus ball today  ... again... Lucky I'm in Turku, because this is where the closest place that sell them is (I have a stock at home though) So now, instead of my little metal ball I have a UV pink-white striped one.

I wasn't looking for clothes at all today, came home with a pair of snowboard pants (well, I'll use them for being out in the cold...), a hoodie, a pair of black pants, a fancy tanktop, a skin for my laptop, iron on printerpaper, 2 bra's and then some tasty food. Come on, when I look for stuff I never find anything! So Liesie, my advice for you is to stop looking for something to wear at that wedding...

We were suppose to see underworld today, but it's no longer in the cinema here  well, we'll see it anyway, you know what I mean. We'll have to get up at 6am tomorrow to carry out the bed and sofa. Can't do it tonight, because then they will be gone tomorrow (and we need to sleep in the bed...) wehoo...

now I really gotta go help D clean before he blows all his fuses with me...
Love ya all! See ya tomorrow night from the stationary, then I'll also re-post the list...

arr, tragus piercings seem to lose the most pieces.

Replacing metal with acrylic is no good either - the thread will go much quicker. I'm guessing you know this much already.
