((Nicholle, Athenodora and Afton attempted to fight Rick, but couldn't so Beatrix (being invinsible) now tries to attack him.))
I felt someone start to fight Rick; it was Afton. Rick was such an experienced fighter, both of us could not take him down. Rick attacked Afton now, pinning him down. He grabbed me, then, and swung me into Afton.
"Oof!" I said.
Beatrix, though I could not see her, now started to attack Rick.

Now I understood what was going on. ((Thanks)) The other guard member's had failed to defeat Rick, and now I couldn't see Rick's attacker since she was invisible... I assumed it was the new girl... I stepped out from the dark, hands loosely at my side. If needs be, I would be able to step in. That was one of my strengths....

Matilda felt a surge of shame rush over her as she watched her fellow friends be thrown around (literally) by this attacker. Matilda braced herself as she watched the man suddenly constrict himself, baring his teeth behind him. It was quite awkward from this view but this was no time for joking.
Let him try to kill her...if he dared. But no one would harm her friends.
