I loved it immediately. Yes, it was different, but I loved all the little plot twists SM threw in, like Bella's pregnancy and Jake's book.
Reading Jake's book helped me understand him better, because I really only liked him as Bella's BFF before, and even then not very much. It was also the most hilarious part of the book.
I think BD is mt favorite Twilight Saga book.

It was so funny, my husband got coaxed into reading the series and he toughed it through Twilight, then loved New Moon and Eclipse (he said Twilight was just too much of the "perfection of Edward" for him to handle). The night of the BD release as I was on my way to the bookstore, he said, "You're going to buy one for me too, right?" because he didn't want to wait for a day to get his hands on it! So after I got home with two books in hand, we both sat down and started reading it together, and we both laughed and got teary, and said, "Oh my GOD!" at the same parts. It was really cool.

I have to say it's the most complete I have ever felt after reading a series in my entire book-loving life. It's my favorite of all of them.

I love happy endings!!

I liked it but it left me hanging for a major battle. Apparently SM left a clue that there wasn't going to be a physical battle per se but more of diplomatic war of words instead. In my opinion this was not cool at all. I mean, I'm a 33 year old dude who is a romantic at heart but as an ex military guy I need my fights. Everything else was fine and did not bother me. I really became a hater of the "literary elitist" that came out of their closets to bash the author and story. Also, the feminist movement complaining about how weak Bella was in the story. I mean, come on! How in the heck is she suppose to fight indestructible creatures! In my opinion, people who complain or don't like tha novel never had an adolescent crush in their lives.

The first time I read Breaking Dawn I only expected three things to happen in it: Bella to marry Edward, Bella to turn into a vampire and for a substantial battle with the Vulturi. In some form I got all three, but I really expected a great battle in the end not just a weak look how great Bella is show. Not to mention the fact that I absolutely hated reading the Jacob part(reminded me to much of New Moon). Even through all of the problems I have with the book I absolutely loved the beginning and a large chunk after she became a vampire. Even though I dislike parts of this book like the rest of the series Breaking Dawn is simply addicting.

I absolutely loved Breaking Dawn. It is my favorite of the series because it has all of the Twilight-y goodness, plus more depth to the characters.

I've had quite a bit to think about my feelings about Breaking Dawn and I've decided that there's nothing I don't like. (I even like Renesmee's name. ;) ) I think Stephenie did an amazing job with this story!

After I finished reading Breaking Dawn, I went back reread New Moon and Eclipse for the first time. (I was never able to reread them again because I always had too much anxiety.) Because I knew everything would work out for Edward and Bella, I could look at the stories as a whole and I appreciate them much more than I did. However, even though I knew everything would work out, I still experience some anxiety once I got past the "Fire and Ice" chapter in Eclipse. To me, that's the mark of a great storyteller and Stephenie definitely is one!

I'm currently rereading Breaking Dawn and I still love it just as much as I did the first time!

I got the book within the first 20...well, actually, i WAS number 20..which to me was a VERY good sign even before I read the book...JUNE 20!!!! ;)
when I was reading it, I kept calling by best friend (who also pulled an all-nighter with me) and we stopped periodically just to digest the book. So when I got to the end of the First book, I was a little confused as to why SM decideded (or rather explained to us, as she has already mentioned that her characters decide for themselves ;) ) to have Renesmee. When I realized that this was kind of essential to everyone's genetic make-up, I fully accepted Ren. (the loch ness monster does sound COOL! but i have a soft spot for "ren" my own nick name, if you will)
the second book was insightful on so many different levels, and so much fun to read Jake's perspective..the third book was just AMAZING!!!! this was what I was expecting (though I knew that this would have to happen in the end of the book) and i was so happy to find out about the "Secret" aka Alec...that was interesting to see his reactions in comparison to Jane....I actually never expected a battle with the Volturi...Carlisle is friends with the Volturi (was? no, i think he's still friends with the Trio, but is a little dissappointed) they respect the Volturi for keeping SOME form of order, becuase if there is no "government", there is no regard for what should or should not be done....i expected some sort of tactical method of getting Bella and the rest of the Cullens as a gaurd, but not an actual "war" that never crossed my mind. i was just hoping for a "VOLTURI SCENE" and i definately got one!

and how the Cullens TRULY live...wow!!!

in response to the negative response, I saw one comment on a random website where author Tamora Pierce commented on the negative reviews on Amazon. I really wished at that point that I had bought something off of Amazon just so that I could write a review to comment upon that..I personally felt that Breaking Dawn had concepts that most people wouldn't fully understand emotionally. For example, a mother's love and protectiveness for her child; i know my mom is like that, but because I'm a mom I can only sympathize with Bella - I can't empathize. But with Meyer's amazing style, I can understand more about her characters than in most other author's books.

this is just one extremely LONG reason why i truly enjoyed this book! i have more, but i think this is what I'm going to write for now ;)

When I first started reading BD, I loved it, but only right up to the end of the wedding, and maybe the beginning of the honeymoon. But as soon as Bella threw up and they figured out she was pregnant, I was at a loss for words. It was so NOT like Bella, for one, and I know they were probably trying to make her more motherly, and it was cool at the end when Bella and Edward were more of an individualized family, with more than any of the Cullens, but it still was weird for that whole part. Then she became a vampire and it made me so happy for them, I almost cried. That whole part was one of my favorite parts of the book-- especially when she wakes up and all she could do is hug him, knowing her love for him is the strongest part about her (haha and then he said 'ow!'). The book was an amazing (yet unexpected) end to Twilight saga, and just the beginning of Edward and Bella. But, overall, I'd have to say my favorite part was the last two pages, when Bella opened her mind for him, because it was so cute and romantic and just such a great ending to my favorite books in the world. THANK YOU STEPHENIE hahah! :D

I absolutely loved it!!!!!!!My head was spinning through out the whole thing, something new around every corner that made me jump and tremble. At one point I let my sister read for a while when I had just finished book 1 and I ran into a wall when I went to get a glass of water.I was all jittery and high strung.I seriously needed to relax.Until I actually finished it I felt like I was going to have a heart attack(which actually should be bad.)The happy ending for everyone made me really happy. It really displeases me that some people find the perfect ending a bad turn for the books because even Jane Austen created happy endings for her characters.Emma and Pride and Prejudice both ended on notes of happiness and the only negative feelings left are indignation and displeasure (from naturally disagreeable people). It feels to me that Breaking Dawn is very similar to Jane Austen's style of writing, as Stephenie Meyer has been often compared to her.
if I'm not talking it means I'm lost inside my mind...

When I started reading Breaking Dawn, I was like:
"This is going to be AMAZING!!!"

By the time I got to where Bella was going to have Nessie, at first...I didn't like it at all. I stilled loved the book, but that was the factor I didn't like. When the day was over, and I had read the whole thing, I took back any negative thought I had. It was beautiful. It had to happen, like in New Moon, when Edward left, it just had to happen.

I understand now for the better. I love the ending especially. It's my favorite part of the whole book.

I also enjoyed reading from Jacob's perspective. It was nice.

Breaking Dawn was wonderful, and I think people should read it twice.

Plus, Bella and Edward were total sex fiends.
Sweet muse, where have you gone? (Breaking Dawn was amazing, so shut up.)

Breaking Dawn was, at first, everything I expected....and then it was nothing that I expected...and in the end it was what I dreamed would happen. In many ways I hated this book...at least until I read it completely. When i started reading this series I was ver very skeptacle, as this is not at all my type of literature, but the mazing writing and intrigueing story sucked me in and I have been helplessly hooked ever since. I am so stricken with shock by the fact that it is over now...but I am also strangely satisfied. All good things must come to an end. ANd I think there couldn't have been a more perfect ending. There is so much I want to get out about the book but that could take days and the main thing I want to convey is just how talented Stephenie Meyer really is. She has an ability to captivate her readers that is very rare and I hope with all the media and press and fan base increase that the raw talent and beautiful story that remains don't get blown by too much in the storm. There are many people who hate these books simply because of what they are, simply becasue they are becoming a culture phenomenom...and that is just sad. And the funniest thing about how popular the series has become, is that, I always find myself forgetting that fact. I sometiems forget anyone else knows about the world which Stephenie has created for me...the connection with this story feels very personal.

I think my favorite part of the book...of the series...was how well Bella turned out to be as a vampire. It was like she was finally getting her moment. One of the most beautiful visuals for me was her standing in the meadow at the battle seen with her head held high and the necklace that Aro gave her around her neck. That entire scene was breathtaking.
