Rob Pattinson's music will in fact appear in Twilight. According to director Catherine Hardwicke, the movie will feature two of Pattinson's songs that he wrote before filming started (the tunes were recorded just this month). Hardwicke wanted Pattinson to provide his very personal music for Bella's Lullaby in the film. "I don't think he does it on request, " she writes in an e-mail. "His two songs are pretty great."

I always thought this song was so good. I always pictured it playing whenever Edward was watching Bella fall asleep. Perhaps when he gets inspiration for Bella's Lullaby

Lullaby - The Spill Canvas

It's the way that you blush when you're nervous
It's your ability to make me earn this.
I know that you're tired,
Just let me sing you to sleep.

It's about how you laugh out of pity
'Cause let's be honest, I'm not really that funny
I know that you're shy,
Just let me sing you to sleep.

If you need anything,
Just say the word, I mean anything.
Rest assured, if you start to doze
Then I'll tuck you in,
Plant my lips where your necklaces close.

It's those pills that you don't need to take,
Medicating perfection, now that's a mistake.
I know that you're spent,
Just let me sing you to sleep.

It's your finger, and how I'm wrapped around it
It's your grace, and how it keeps me grounded
I know that you're weak,
Just let me sing you to sleep.

If you need anything,
Just say the word, I mean anything.
Rest assured, if you start to doze
Then I'll tuck you in,
Plant my lips where your necklaces close.

While you were sleeping,
I figured out everything:
I was constructed for you,
And you were molded for me.

Now I feel your name.
Coursin' through my veins.
You shine so bright, it's insane.
You put the sun to shame.

If you need anything,
Just say the word, I mean anything. (I really do)
Rest assured, if you start to doze
Then I'll tuck you in,
Plant my lips where your necklaces close.

If you need anything,
Just say the word, I mean anything.
Rest assured, if you start to doze
Then I'll tuck you in,
Plant my lips where your necklaces close.

Oh! Those lyrics are absolutely amazing!!!!!!! *dies* I'm very interested in what songs they do choose. And I also hope they don't pick anything too mainstream. *smiles* oh, I really like Alisson Krauss & Union Station to! *sings along to When You Say Nothing At All*

the smile on your face
lets me know that you need me.

Rob will be playing the Lullabye, but he did not compose it. However, he did write 2 other songs that will be in the movie, as per EW.com Sept 1, 2008.

So I just saw the soundtrack and I have to say I am pretty happy with it. I am glad that they used I'm not Okay by My Chemical Romance...and muse...it really shows how much of a collaboration this was with stephanie. But of course there are things I wish were on there...for one...claire de lune....and two where are pattinsons songs....huh?

also! i found this song that reminds me of twilight so freaking much i think it would work out fantastically for the movie....its romantic in a very dark humored sort of way.

it is called - the horror of our love - by Ludo. You have to check it out and tell me what you think! I was flabbergasted when I noticed it off hand one day while listeing to their album. I can't wait for the movie!!!!!

I couldn't help myself so here are the lyrics ha ha but you still need to listen to the actual song...for sure!!!

Lyrics to The Horror Of Our Love :
I'm a killer
Cold and wrathful
Silent sleeper
I've been inside your bedroom
I've murdered half the town
Left you love notes on their headstones
I'll fill the graveyards
Until I have you

Moonlight walking
I smell your softness
Carnivorous and lusting
To track you down among the pines
I want you stuffed into my mouth
Hold you down and tear you open
Live inside you
Oh, love I'd never hurt you

But I'll grind against your bones
Until our marrows mix
I will eat you slowly
Ohhhhh
The horror of our love
Never so much blood pulled through my veins
Ohhhhh
The horror of our love
Never so much blood

I wake in terror
Blackbirds screaming
Dark cathedrals spilling
Midnight on their alters
I'm your servant
My immortal
Pale and perfect
Such unholy heaving
The statues close their eyes
The room is changing
Break my skin
And drain me

Ancient language
Speak through fingers
The awful edges
Where you end and I begin
Inside your mouth
I cannot see
There's catastrophe
In everything I'm touching
As I sweat and crush you

And I hold your beating chambers
Until they beat no more
You die like angels sing
Ohhhhh
The horror of our love
Never so much blood pulled through my veins
Ohhhhh
The horror of our love
Never so much blood

You're a ghost, love
Nightgown flowing
Your body blue and walking
Along the continental shelf
You are a dream among the sharks
Beautiful and terrifying
Living restless
We dance in dark suspension

And you bury me
In the ocean floor beneath you
Where they'll never hear us scream
Ohhhhh
The horror of our love
Never so much blood pulled through my veins
Ohhhhh
The horror of our love
Never so much blood

ahhh I love this song...
