As for the poster, it leaves much to be desired, which in some ways it's good. It will make people want to go and watch it.
Personally I was a little disappointed. I was expecting something much more dramatic.
The look on Bellas face is priceless. It looks haunted, hollow, confused ..and scared.
Rob is looking so damn sexy. I don't like how Jacobs in the middle of them.. protecting Bella from Eddie.
When in New Moon, he isn't really protecting her from Edward.. Jacob is just there, being Bellas friend, and wanting to be more.. He protects her more from Victoria than Edward.
I dunno.
It just seems.. bland. Plain.
The facial expression are what make the poster, I reckon

I got one thing to say 'bout that official poster: copy-and-paste heaven. They don't seem to be blending with their scenery as well as they could.
Okay maybe two things. Kristen is just too UGH! Her makeup is waaay too heroin-chic for my tastes. Why is she even made up so much? I'd expect her to look more haggard considering Bella's supposed to be in the darkest period of her life. But I must say, they did a fine job on Rob. It also looks like they're keeping with the orange-brown tones.
edit: I'm sorry, but I gotta add more. While Edward looks awesome, WHY THE HECK IS HE IN THE FRONT, PRETTY MUCH COVERING THE TWO WHICH SHOULD BE THE BIGGER ROLES IN THIS FILM AT LEAST!!!???!!!
This poster proves all those suits over at Summit see when they see our beloved saga is a big, morbidly obese cash cow. They could care less about the integrity of the story. I mean, despite all the flaws we pointed out in Twilight most of us still bought the dang movie when it came out on DVD. Even if most of us end up hating NM we'll still have paid the friggin cash to see it, and we'll buy that DVD. Money is all that matters to those stupid, low-life...I'm gonna stop there.
Yeesh, I never thought one poster would set me off like this. Please somebody, could you spare a word of comfort? I'm wigging out over here!

I like how Edward is at the front. Although Jacob is in the movie more - Edward is still the main focus throughout the whole thing... and because everyone loves him
And to show that Jacob has somewhat come between Edward and Bella.
Having Bella at the back shows she is a 'weak' human, and that shes in danger and needs protecting. And the love of her life is at the front, out of her reach.. and Jacob is in the way. A barrier.
I love their expressions.
Especially Kstews.
Rob is looking so damn fine.

too much photoshop airbrushing is a deadly thing. eek
Re: New Moon movie, take 5
maybe it's just me but does the poster look like it is originally a photo of Bella holding Edwards arm but they have split this picture and added Jacob in the middle? (deliberately I mean)If so I think it's kind of clever but then again I may be on a different planet to everyone else..
Regardless,November can't come quick enough for this Twilighterholic...
Cheers,
Tony.
P.S. Completely changing the subject,I just ordered myself a T-shirt with 'Edward loves Brunettes .....and so do I' on it which I am planning on wearing when I take my daughter to see New Moon.Hey,it's my job to embarrass my daughter!

Okay I'm much calmer now than last night. It's not that bad I suppose, it's not the actual movie(I'll keep telling myself that ). But is this how they're marketing it? That Jacob is the wedge between them? It could be true for Eclipse but not NM.
Anyhoo, AnaB made a remake that I like much better. Unfortunately she couldn't get Taylor some legs, and Kristen still looks horrible.

Re: New Moon movie, take 5
i think they had to put edward at the front of the poster, seeing as robert pattinson is pretty much the reason people were so crazy for the first film.
also maybe the whole being thrown against the wall by jane thing is like his reaction to the pain, as in she doesnt throw him but he instinctually tries to get as far away from her as possible so throws himself backwards?

oh i like this one more... i find official one a little bit awkward... there's something in jacob's pose i really don't like, although bella and edward do look great, i must admit...CopperHead wrote: Anyhoo, AnaB made a remake that I like much better. Re: New Moon movie, take 5
Kristen's face just looks so bored to me, not really pained.
And I thought it was weird too how Edward was right in front. Even though his presence is certainly felt through NM, its more of the pain of him being away than his immediate, physical being. In imagining posters in my head, I'd always seen Edward in the back, sort of watching Bella and Jacob, pained and heartbroken, but Bella doesn't really realize it.
And it bothers me that Bella is clutching onto Jacob when Edward is two feet away. It's like...gah! I don't like it.
