Hi fellow House-mates!

Had to stop in for a sec before heading out for another funfilled day of softball!

Julie ~ those beers sound interesting! Some of our friends and us have keg-o-rators, and usually try to
find some mico-brews to have on hand. The hard part now is that most of them have closed down... Right now we are serving Amstel Light ( and since I live outside of Chicago, a trip to Milwaukee might be in order!)

Pammy - the story about your sons had me laughing so hard I almost peed!!

We had some bad storms come through here on Friday-we were in the basement for a while as a tornado had touched down about 10 miles away from us. We then went to our neighbors for a party, and it was like a monsoon was coming through! But that didn't stop us-the parents played quarters in the rain, and the kids had their own nature-made slip-n-slide on the grass! Wait, didn't we have a slip-n-slide for Rob's b-day party? We could have used that!

I'll have to stop by FB and figure out the Bit of Flair app--(and see what else I can get into over there as well!)

I feel like such a dunce for not paying attention, but what page might the names list be? When I reply to people, I want to be all cool like everyone else and use people's actual name or whatever name they would prefer to be called.

Sandy - Yay for softball! Lol. Hope everything goes well. We had storms out the butt here 2 nights ago. The power kept flickering. It was weird cause I was sitting there watching tv and playing on here. The power went out and my laptop stayed on, which it should have, but I'm not used to that yet. Lol.

Sandy - re: going to Milwaukee to buy beer - DO IT! It's the number one perk for me when I drive to WI and back instead of flying. I can bring back beer. Although apparently I am a bootlegger for bringing more than 3 cases into a "dry" county. That crap really needs to go.

I'd like to say to anyone who confuses Sandy and Tracy, that I have a trick. I never mess them up, because twilightSAgaaddict has a "SA" in it, for Sandy. No problem - confusion gone!

e-honeybuns - I love you for calling people "stankholes." My HS/college friends and I used to call people "stank hos," so I think it translates from Wisconsin to VA/CO.

So I think the plaid phenomenon is just because...history repeats itself, and it's grunge's turn again. You're going to see a bunch of Eddie Vedder and Kurt Cobain clones walking around, hot as schitt. But...I do believe that it does have something to do with Rob and Kristen - because the "hip, young stars" are always the ones to let the rest of the world know "yes...its okay to wear that, see?"

You are absolutely right about history repeating itself with the plaid thing. And now that I have confessed that I am older than dirt I can tell you that when I was a kid in the early 70's plaid was "all the rage"! And I think it happened in the 50's as well. Does anyone know what Elephant Jeans are? And earth shoes? I LOVED those!! Rob would look lovely in earth shoes!

Is it just me or does his hand look really weird? It's almost like he is double jointed in his fingers or something. Still a nice pic. though.

Julie(Jazz)-Congrats on your winnings! I haven't been to a casino in a really long time.

Oh and you have to see "The Hangover." I've seen it twice and it is frickin hilarious!!! (Rob, plug your ears.) Bradley Cooper is a hottie. But, seriously, if you like lewd comedy, this is for you. You will laugh from the beginning to the end.

OMG you are not kidding, JulieM. And Zack Galifanisndfkoeopolous or whatever his name is totally steals the entire movie. Except the part with Ed Helms & the song. (That was not a spoiler.) It was one of those movies you walk out quoting like teenage boys. "Remember that part..."

I'm afraid I will not be wearing a plaid shirt this time around. Reminds me too much of the oh... 7th grade, I guess? *shiver*

Erika-Yes, Zack did steal the show. I think my favorite part is when they are on the roof and he is giving his speech. Hilarious!

Well, I probably just get to check in one more time tonight. I'm leaving tomorrow for a week. Going to our cabin in Canada where there is no electricity or running water. Totally love it, but will miss you guys. You will probably be on a new thread when I return. I did something really crazy! I went out a bought a portable DVD player so I could watch Twilight up there. How crazy is that? Check back later.

Pammy - I don't think I know what elephant jeans are...but I think I know about earth shoes. They are made of all natural materials, and your heels slant down towards the ground? If so, they still make those.

JulieM - the fingernails are indeed gross. So in my mind, that picture is taken while Rob is saying, "darnit TomStu, you just shoved my fingers into mud, you're such a card!"

Ooh - and I love the matching "sunnies" pic. (shoutout to e-daughter2 on that one)

I hate to think what is under his fingernails! And the index finger is the worst! Even his cuticle is black! Wassup with that!!?? Even in my avi his nails are dirty. Robbie, please trim them!!

Re: "Matching glasses!" I just wanna lick those two veins on his forehead so sporking bad!!! I love it when they make their appearance! I rewind and rewind Twilight to see them after the kiss and he flings himself against the wall...Scrumpdiliumptious!! (that's me licking them, not throwing a raspberry! )

Edit: Yes, Julie, you're right, they still make a "version" of earth shoes, but they are not nearly as cool as the originals.
Elephant jeans have an exagerrated flare at the bottom. Low, low riders and the legs gradually widen to over a foot in diameter. Very cool at the time. "The Age of Aquarius" and all....eh-hem...*singing* "When the mo-o-o-on...is in the Seventh House....and Jupiter...aligns with Mars......and peace....will guide the planets......and lo-o-o-ove will steer the stars..This is the dawning of the age of Aquarius! Age of Aquariu-u-u-u-u-us! AQUARIUS!!!" Sorry...got a little carried away there!

That part was GREAT. My hubs was sooo embarrassed because I started laughing almost before he even started the speech. He said one word and I just started cracking up.
